Full Time

Overview: Proactively ensures a safe and productive working environment. Optimizes the safety, reliability, and productivity of production machinery &amp; equipment primarily through planned maintenance, repair, and improvements.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Proactively uses mechanical, electrical, and effective communication skills for the maintenance, repair, and continuous improvement of machinery &amp; equipment</li> <li>Performs planned machinery &amp; equipment maintenance to ensure the safe, reliable, and productive operation</li> <li>Troubleshoots problems/failures of automated machinery &amp; equipment and initiates the repair</li> <li>Participates in maintenance &amp; reliability of shared-use facilities such as electrical supply, transmission, and safeguarding, pneumatic compressors &amp; circuits, floor cleaning &amp; wastewater treatment equipment, cutting fluid and scrap metal reclamation equipment, and the plant&rsquo;s backup generator(s)</li> <li>Communicates progress/status of maintenance &amp; reliability activities to Maintenance Supervisor regularly</li> <li>Documents maintenance &amp; reliability activities daily</li> <li>Reads and interprets equipment manuals, drawings, and schematics</li> <li>Conducts machine change-overs and replaces tooling as needed to support Machine Set-Up Personnel</li> <li>Uses powered hand tools, precision measuring devices, non-CNC machining, and welding equipment (under qualified supervision) to fabricate parts for the maintenance &amp; reliability of machinery &amp; equipment</li> <li>Executes plant changeover to generator power in emergency situations</li> <li>Rigging and moving of machinery as needed</li> <li>Operates forklift and scissor lift as needed</li> <li>Performs building and grounds maintenance &amp; reliability activities as needed</li> </ul>
Requirements: <strong>Knowledge, Skills, Abilities</strong> <ul> <li>Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, and operation of automated equipment required</li> <li>Effective communication skills required</li> <li>Forklift and scissor lift certifications required</li> <li>Welding and machinery experience a plus</li> </ul> <strong>Education / Experience</strong> <ul> <li>Associate&rsquo;s Degree or equivalent from a two-year Technical school w/ 2 years&rsquo; experience repairing automated equipment OR a minimum of a HSD and 6 years&rsquo; experience repairing automated equipment required</li> <li>3-5 years&rsquo; manufacturing industry experience preferred</li> </ul>
