Overview: We are looking for a candidate with good mechanical reasoning ability to Set up and operate automated punch &amp; die equipment, utilizing a strong mechanical aptitude, driving safety, quality, productivity, and cost savings.<br /><br />This position will be part of our team that operates high-volume punch machines at our machining facility at our location in Batavia, N.Y.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Set up and operate machines per set-up instructions provided by Engineering.</li> <li>Perform tooling changes and tooling inspection as needed to produce quality parts.</li> <li>Troubleshoot and diagnose machine problems as needed.</li> <li>Record machine productivity and quality to drive continuous improvement.</li> <li>Maintain an accurate tooling inventory.</li> <li>Perform Preventative Maintenance as needed.</li> <li>Assist maintenance personnel with repairs as needed.</li> <li>Understand the usage and/or application of each gauge.</li> <li>Conduct inspections (i.e. safety inspections, part inspections, in-process inspections using gages, etc.)</li> <li>Maintain production goals</li> <li>Run production as needed</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Knowledge of manufacturing, safety systems checklists, calendar, and email software required</li> <li>Basic computer skills required</li> <li>Strong mechanical ability</li> <li>A high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required</li> <li>1-2 years&rsquo; similar manufacturing industry experience preferred</li> </ul>
