Responsibilities: <p>Maintains and repairs production equipment on all levels, keeping down time to a minimum. Also provides a safe working environment and practices safe working habits.</p> <ul> <li>Repairs various mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems and components (e.g. cylinders, valves, drives, etc.) installed on production machines</li> <li>Troubleshoots and diagnoses problems and or failures of automated equipment and initiates' repair</li> <li>Adjusts and replaces various electrical sensors used for proper operation of assembly machine</li> <li>Performs preventative maintenance and cleaning of equipment on special runs to ensure safe reliable operation&nbsp; &nbsp;and makes suggestions for improvement</li> <li>Performs machine changeovers and replaces tooling as needed</li> <li>Opens/closes facility; startup/shut down equipment</li> <li>Uses metal working equipment such as powered hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators</li> <li>Handles some spill responses and pest control as needed</li> <li>Changeover to generator power in emergency situations</li> <li>Rigging and moving of machinery as needed</li> <li>Reads and interprets equipment manuals, drawings and schematics</li> </ul>
Requirements: <u><strong>Knowledge, Skills, Abilities</strong></u><br /> <ul> <li>Knowledge of machine operation of pneumatics, ladder logic, basic electrical systems, and operation of PLC&nbsp; &nbsp;equipment required</li> <li>Welding and machinery experience a plus</li> <li>Forklift and scissor lift certifications required</li> </ul> <br /><u><strong>Education / Experience</strong></u><br /> <ul> <li>Associate&rsquo;s degree or equivalent from a two year Technical school w/ 2 years&rsquo; experience repairing PLC&nbsp; &nbsp;controlled equipment OR a minimum of a HSD and 6 years&rsquo; experience repairing PLC controlled equipment&nbsp; &nbsp;required</li> <li>3-5 years&rsquo; manufacturing industry experience required</li> </ul>
