Overview: <h2><strong>The opportunity</strong></h2> <p dir="LTR">As we undertake an exciting new project, EPIC - the transformation of our service and delivery model, we are adding a Lead Software Developer to be part of an organization-wide investment in new and optimized technology. EPIC, is a three-year digital transformation project. It is an evolutionary time here as we bring all ownership of IT infrastructure and expertise in-house.</p> <p dir="LTR">As the first, and only, Lead Software Development on the EPIC team, you will be hands-on, influence solutions, introduce best practices, and lead the technical work of the team. You will focus on the design, development, and maintenance of application software supporting the delivery of technology services and solutions. You will have the chance to explore lead change initiatives, increase your hands-on exposure across a range of technical projects and grow within the organization.</p> <p dir="DEFAULT">&nbsp;</p> <h2><strong>Who you'll work with</strong></h2> <p dir="LTR">You will be part of a collaborative and innovative team of Developers, dedicated to introducing a strengthened technology foundation across the organization. This is a nimble team, continuously learning through experimentation, research, and professional development opportunities.</p>
Responsibilities: <h2><strong>What you'll do</strong></h2> <ul> <li> <h4><strong><u>Design, develop, test, and deliver ServiceNow solutions. </u></strong>You will:</h4> <ul> <li>Support different modules within the platform including Change Requests, Defects, Incidents, Problems, and Requests, Human Resources.</li> <li>Integrate the ServiceNow platform with other tools and support existing integrations.</li> <li>Follow Agile release processes.</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong><u>Foster a collaborative environment.</u></strong> You will: <ul> <li>Build and nurture relationships with ServiceNow to facilitate knowledge sharing, access to demos on new and existing products on the platform, and support.</li> <li>Act as a trusted advisor and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for ServiceNow within the organization.</li> <li>Guide and direct the work of your team and other teams, following an Agile, Waterfall or hybrid methodology.&nbsp;</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong><u>Play a critical leadership role.</u></strong> You will: <ul> <li>Coach a team of junior designers, offering hands-on support and guidance.</li> <li>Liaise within and across teams to obtain status updates and ensure deliverables are completed on time.</li> <li>Present project updates to stakeholders.</li> </ul> </li> </ul>
Requirements: <h2><strong>What you'll need</strong></h2> <ul> <li> <p dir="LTR">The education. You have an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Math, or Engineering. ServiceNow Developer certification is an asset. ITIL Foundations (or equivalent ITSM) certification is preferred.</p> </li> <li>The experience. You have 5 years progressive experience as a Software Developer, following Agile and Waterfall methodologies, designing, delivering and supporting technical solutions. As a senior developer, you have expertise delivering complex solutions that are scalable, highly available, resilient and performant in a Continuous Delivery Pipeline.</li> <li>The knowledge. You have a broad and deep understanding of current development processes, standards, and tools including analysis and design techniques and tools, development techniques, testing approaches, and deployment methods.</li> <li>The technical skills. You have: <ul> <li>Hands-on design skills with a strong bias for Software Architecture Style/ Design&nbsp; Pattern (e.g., SOA, Enterprise Integration, OOD, Domain Driven Design).</li> <li>Expertise in ServiceNow development utilizing platform capabilities and enabling integrations using APIs, MidServer.</li> </ul> </li> <li>The leadership. You can inspire and influence a team of junior designers and developers. You are comfortable presenting ideas and teaching new concepts. You can create and follow timelines, deliverables and work plans. You are self-motivated and take ownership of your work and that of your team. You are detail-oriented, organized and analytical. You can innovate solutions to complex problems.</li> <li>The <span class=" WCE1 ">relationship-building</span> experience. You are comfortable working with individuals at any level.
