Overview: <h2><strong>The opportunity</strong></h2> <p dir="LTR">As we undertake an exciting new project, EPIC - the transformation of our service and delivery model, we are adding a Program Manager, Innovation to be part of an organization-wide investment in new and optimized technology. It is a revolutionary time here as we bring all ownership of IT infrastructure and expertise in-house.</p> <p dir="LTR">As the Program Manager, Innovation you will develop, implement and continuously improve our Teachers&rsquo; Innovation delivery framework, and standards. You will have the chance to design standards that provide agility while minimizing operational risk and work closely with department leaders in both ESDIT and Business groups to ensure processes are meeting business and innovation goals.&nbsp;</p> <p dir="LTR">This is a chance to make an impact as you lead the implementation, and management of innovation lifecycle processes and tasks including overall governance, standard processes and procedures, and gating initiatives, with a robust/deliberate approach.</p> <p dir="DEFAULT">&nbsp;</p> <h2><strong>Who you'll work with</strong></h2> <p dir="LTR">You will be part of a collaborative and innovative organization working across a variety of departments and interacting at multiple levels &nbsp;with teams dedicated to introducing a strengthened technology foundation. Responsibilities: <h2><strong>What you'll do</strong>&nbsp;</h2> <p dir="LTR"><strong><u>Innovation Process Development.</u></strong> You will:</p> <ul> <li>Contribute to the innovation business process vision, strategy, and objectives.</li> <li>Develop clearly defined processes to use iterative experimentation to fail-fast or to bring proven innovation to the business.</li> <li>Define performance metrics with process owners to establish service levels for each process.</li> <li>Plan, execute, document, review and manage the project quality assurance and communication processes for all enterprise projects.</li> <li>Liaise with Senior Management and process stakeholders to communicate any issues and status updates.</li> <li>Develop and lead formal sessions to identify and prioritize improvement initiatives.</li> <li>Engage and develop relationships with ESDIT leaders and senior OTPP business leaders to understand potential value.</li> <li>Identify opportunities, requirements, capabilities, andevelop rollout plans for process improvements.</li> </ul> <p dir="LTR"><strong><u>Tools. </u></strong>You will:</p> <ul> <li>Manage and maintains project standards and quality tools.</li> <li>Develop and implement delivery models to support the implementation of innovation strategies and capabilities.</li> <li>Identify and evaluate relevant Innovation industry practices, solutions and technologies in partnership with business and ESDIT partners.</li> <li>Introduce value added or risk reducing capabilities and solutions across the Enterprise.</li> </ul> <p dir="LTR"><strong><u>Governance. </u></strong>You will:</p> <ul> <li>Be accountable for the development and maintenance of enterprise-wide innovation governance and governance metrics.&nbsp;</li> <li>Ensure that governance is reflective of legal, regulatory and industry standards.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <h2><strong>What you'll need</strong></h2> <ul> <li>The education. You have an undergraduate degree and PMP Certification. Lean/SixSigma certification is preferred.</li> <li>The experience. You have 5-8 years in project management related services, preferably in a management consulting capacity. You have in-depth understanding of the innovation lifecycle, project control processes, and innovation roles and responsibilities and experience-based knowledge of: <ul> <li>Excellent Process design including experience with Process Improvement methodologies and tools, preferably Lean.</li> <li>IT processes including service management, incident management and change management.</li> <li>End-to-end procurement practices and standards.</li> </ul> </li> <li>The leadership. You can work with senior leadership and front-line staff. You have excellent judgement and proven experience managing priorities, setting deadlines and exceeding client expectations. You have demonstrated excellence in talent management, developing and leading senior data management professionals and experts.</li> <li>The project management skills. You are highly detail oriented and meticulous with a design-forward approach. Your focus is accomplishing every milestone while ensuring processes are followed and issues are proactively dealt with. You have: <ul> <li>Well-honed business case development and implementation skills.</li> <li>Experience performing project risk reviews, gate reviews, health checks and clearly articulating recommendations.</li> <li>The ability to influence work in a multi-functional team environment with rapidly changing priorities under tight deadlines.</li> <li>An in-depth understanding of project governance, assurance, independent risk review practices and&nbsp; Project Management Institute (PMI) standards (e.g. PMBOK).</li> </ul> </li> <li>The relationship building expertise. You have expertise working closely with internal stakeholders to develop effective strategies to realize visions and increase adoption. You have prior experience managing large, complex vendor relationships that cover multiple products and services preferred.</li> <li>The transparent communication style. You can document and convert business needs into technical requirements. You can translate technical details for a non-technical audience. You are an outstanding communicator in formal, informal, large, small, verbal and written communications. You can effectively influence and work with people at all levels.
