Overview: <h2><strong>The opportunity&nbsp;</strong></h2> <p dir="LTR">The Director, Digital and Content Strategy will build and implement a global, digital marketing and communications strategy for Ontario Teachers&rsquo;. This role requires in-depth digital experience and an ability to tie it to global strategy and leading the creation of digital content strategies. Responsibilities: <h2><strong>What you'll do</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Develop, implement and lead an integrated, global digital communications strategy aligned to the overall business strategy</li> <li>Demonstrate strong, visible leadership and productive working relationships with cross functional teams to influence and support the brand and brand strategy across digital channels globally</li> <li>Create and lead the digital content strategy, identifying target audience and best methods for reaching them to share organizational content</li> <li>Develop and oversee a social media channel strategy for OTPP in collaboration with other key partners (Member Services and People &amp; Culture)</li> <li>Understanding of social media analytics tools</li> <li>Define and promote digital standard methodologies across the division</li> <li>Develop and motivate the digital team; foster a &ldquo;test and learn&rdquo; approach with an enhanced focus on optimizing digital channels</li> <li>Lead digital agency relationships</li> <li>Review new technologies and propose changes/improvements</li> <li>Develop department scorecard initiatives that support the business and drive staff performance.</li> <li>Responsible for management of a team including a senior people manager and bargaining unit staff, including selection, performance appraisals, mentorship and development.</li> <li>Maintain digital marketing budget within parameters of total department budget.</li> <li>Select, assess and assign contingent (third-party) resources to supplement in-house capability as necessary.</li> <li>Work is performed under the general direction of the Managing Director, Marketing &amp; Communications, with expectation for making independent decisions utilizing creativity and innovation. You will have the capability to drive strategic initiatives within the Digital space as well as respond to and manage a wide variety of priorities.</li> <li>Working in areas with few guidelines or past precedents, sound judgment and independent decision-making are required in identifying appropriate methods of analysis, research consultation and project co-ordination for developing digital communications and marketing program recommendations.</li> <li>&nbsp;A high level of judgment is required in planning and co-ordinating projects and resources involved in the process, in determining the impact of the project on company policies, staff and target audiences.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <strong>What you'll need</strong><br /> <ul> <li>This position requires a comprehensive knowledge of the principles, practices and methodology of effective digital content strategy as well as knowledge or experience working with communications teams focused on reaching key investment stakeholders, future talent, employees and the media.
