Overview: <h2><strong>The opportunity</strong></h2> <p dir="LTR">We are adding a Senior Technical Team Lead, DevOps to our Enterprise Operations division as part of our organization-wide investment in new and optimized technology. In this role, you will lead the continuous delivery capability on our DevOps team for our internal delivery partners and will implement best practices across the organization. As our next Senior Technical Team Lead, DevOps, you will define the path we take to drive efficiency and continuous improvements across our enterprise delivery pipeline.</p> <p dir="DEFAULT"><strong>Who you'll work with</strong></p> <p dir="LTR">Reporting to the Director, Platform Engineering and Development Services, you will deliver a variety of DevOps services to our internal clients. You will be part of a collaborative and innovative team, working closely with senior stakeholders from Technology Infrastructure, Project Delivery, and Solution Engineering. Responsibilities: <p dir="LTR"><strong><u>Lead continuous delivery DevOps solutions.</u></strong> You will:</p> <ul> <li>Establish automation strategies that focus on enhancing delivery quality, standards, and throughput</li> <li>Drive standardization, common implementation, and efficiency for DevOps practices</li> <li>Collaborate with Solution Engineering leads to ensure that internal resources and capabilities are aligned with business needs</li> <li>Continuously update and build upon your knowledge of DevOps tools, technologies, and processes to improve service delivery</li> </ul> <p dir="DEFAULT">&nbsp;<strong><u>Evaluate and enhance existing DevOps systems.</u></strong> You will:</p> <ul> <li>Review and authorize DevOps reports focused on performance metrics</li> <li>Manage the DevOps lifecycle end-to-end including software addition, removal, and technical updates</li> <li>Perform demand analyses for DevOps services; communicating the values of these systems to stakeholders and ensuring adequate investment is made for service delivery</li> <li>Initiate and facilitate improvement in DevOps services, products, and systems</li> </ul> <p dir="DEFAULT"><strong><u>Manage a team of 6+ direct reports.</u></strong> You will:</p> <ul> <li>Coach, mentor, and manage the workload and performance of your team</li> <li>Provide technical oversight and leadership to the team</li> <li>Keep up to date with DevOps best practices; ensuring learning is documented and shared with your team members</li> </ul>
Requirements: <h2><strong>What you'll need</strong></h2> <ul> <li>The experience and education. You have 7+ years&rsquo; experience in technical solution design, delivery, and support in DevOps &ndash; with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial capacity.. Ideally, you have a bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Computer Science, IT, or Software Engineering.</li> <li>The technical knowledge.&nbsp; Practical experience in the Solution Development Lifecycle; complemented with a thorough understanding of Python, Java, Powershell, C#, YAML.&nbsp; Experience in implementing and maintaining a DevOps delivery pipeline and associated toolsets including: Github, Jenkins, Bamboo, Sonarqube, Ansible, Chef, Sonatype Nexus, Urbancode Deploy.&nbsp;</li> <li>&nbsp;The business acumen. You are focused on achieving desired outcomes and will do what it takes, including making adjustments to your strategy, to successfully execute on a goal. An excellent negotiator, you recognize the value specific initiatives bring to an organization, clearly communicate the anticipated return on investment, and prioritize accordingly.</li> <li>The people skills. You are comfortable working with individuals at any level and are able to effectively convey your point and gain support from an array of stakeholders. You&rsquo;re an excellent listener who&rsquo;s able to understand client needs, manage conflicting demands, and develop a solution that everyone is happy with.
