Our IT Specialist will analyze, troubleshoot and evaluate any issues relating to Opus Ones&rsquo; Corporate Information Systems and ensure they are working optimally. They will be instrumental in solving technically complex IT problems in a timely manner, to ensure the systems all teams rely on when developing, executing and support critical client-facing projects are working.</p> <p><strong>Who are you?</strong></p> <p>You are energetic and resourceful IT Specialist with exceptional attention to detail and excellent time-management skills. You have a deep understanding of the knowledge an effort required to stand up the required IT systems to make an organization run seamlessly. Responsibilities: <p><strong>What will our new IT Specialist be responsible for?</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provision, setup and troubleshoot new/existing employee accounts, machines and applications/services.</li> <li>Create, update and maintain any relevant GPO for Windows, Mac and Linux environments.</li> <li>Create, update and maintain any relevant self-serve/onboarding documentation related to corporate information systems and services for use by Opus One Employees.</li> <li>Provide internal desk-side support for various users spread out across North America.</li> <li>Champion, lead and maintain Opus One&rsquo;s ISO27001 Certification.</li> <li>Liaise and work with relevant internal team(s) to ensure any proposed changes to any corporate information system are approved and implemented in a planned manner.</li> <li>Develop and maintain critical relationships with 3rd party managed-service providers, including but not limited to: <ul> <li>Remote help-desk support</li> <li>Network infrastructure expansion and maintenance</li> <li>Physical infrastructure expansion and maintenance (e.g. cabling, physical security, etc.)</li> <li>Cybersecurity assessments and audits (e.g. network, user accounts, etc.)</li> <li>Standards certification assessments and audits</li> </ul> </li> <li>Administer, support and maintain Opus One&rsquo;s Canadian and US-based SFTP Servers.</li> <li>Interact with other Opus One Employees and External Clients for any project work where required.</li> <li>Create and submit Monthly Status Reports for Departmental/ Divisional/ Company Updates.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>Here&rsquo;s what you bring:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>The education.&nbsp;</strong>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Management, other Engineering/IT/Software related degrees, or sufficient level of practical experience and relevant certifications will also be considered. MCITP/ CCNA/ ITIL certifications considered a strong asset.</li> <li><strong>The Experience.&nbsp;</strong>You have a minimum of 3 years&rsquo; of hands-on experience in a medium to large sized organization leading or supporting various Corporate Information Systems projects. You have a proven track record of project delivery, client relationship management and enforcing internal/external responsibilities and accountabilities. Previous work in a leadership/technical/project management position at a software company, medium to large-sized business in the high tech space, or in the renewable technology/utilities/energy/software space would be an asset.</li> <li><strong>Technical Skills.</strong>&nbsp;You have a suitable combination of the following experience: <ul> <li>Client facing IT support roles (e.g. desk-side support)</li> <li>Administering Microsoft Windows/Mac OSX/ Linux (e.g. Ubuntu etc.) based Systems</li> <li>Network design, configuration, deployment, maintenance and troubleshooting</li> <li>Hardware and software firewalls, IPS, WAF and additional security layers (LDAP, SSO, 2Factor)</li> <li>Building and maintaining test systems on AWS using EC2, RDS, S3, ELB, Cloud Formation, etc.</li> <li>Building and maintaining test systems on Azure using Azure Virtual Machines, SQL Database, Azure Database for MySQL, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, Azure Storage, Load Balancer&nbsp;, Azure Resource Manager, etc.</li> <li>RDBMS (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL etc.)</li> <li>RSDB (e.g. Cassandra etc.)</li> <li>Leading/supporting standards certification efforts (e.g. SOC2, ISO27001, etc.)</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Customer/Client Orientation.</strong>&nbsp;You strive to provide customers/clients with personalized and efficient service while anticipates their needs and quickly follows up on contacts and queries.</li> <li><strong>Information Seeking Guru.&nbsp;</strong>While doing your research, you can consult widely for business or technical advice, probe for facts and obtain information from a wide variety of sources.
