Overview: <p>This position is responsible for all aspects of engineering construction procurement projects. The incumbent is responsible for managing all in-house and external engineering, procurement, installation and testing through turnover to aftersales/Operations. They will ensure projects are completed safely, on time and within budget.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Manage the supply and installation contracts.</li> <li>Prepare and manage the schedule and budget.</li> <li>Manage all project coordination with all stockholders within and outside of the company.</li> <li>Manage the project execution including risk mitigation, safety protocols, and quality assurance.</li> <li>Manage all commercial aspects of the supply and EPC projects.</li> <li>Direct the project team as needed.</li> <li>Sign and approve PO, invoices, change orders and bank transfers.</li> <li>Negotiate all contracts with clients, contractors and suppliers.</li> </ul> <br /> <br /> OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES<br /> <ul> <li>Other duties as assigned by management.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Must have at least 5 years in the construction industry, 2 years in similar position.</li> <li>BS degree required in technical field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.</li> <li>The ability to assess situations and choose the best alternative including initiating these alternatives.</li> <li>Directly manage personnel, be able to create long-term professional relationships with suppliers and contractors.</li> <li>Must be able to read, write and speak English at a level which will permit the employee to accurately understand and communicate information to safely and efficiently perform the job duties.</li> <li>Must possess at any time a valid driver&rsquo;s license with a driving record acceptable to ORMAT auto insurance carrier.</li> <li>Must be able to use and acquire knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentation. Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, and use of the Internet.</li> <li>Ability and willingness to travel and relocate if required.</li> <li>Must be able to operate a vehicle in a safe manner.</li> </ul> <br /> <br /> PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS<br /> <ul> <li>The ability to lift 20 lbs. periodically.</li> <li>The ability to navigate and work in remote field locations and work outdoors in difficult weather conditions.</li> <li>The ability to walk, hike, and work on steep, rough terrain for extended periods of time.</li> <li>The ability to safely operate 4WD light vehicles on highways and off-road.</li> <li>Must be able to frequently climb ladders, climb to and work off of elevated platforms, ladders and walkways.</li> <li>Protective equipment and fire-retardant clothing must be worn in the performance of some duties.</li> <li>Job requires sitting 20% of the time, standing 80%.</li> </ul> <br /> <br /> <br />Nearest Major Market: Reno<br /> <br />Nearest Secondary Market: Tahoe
