Key responsibilities include coordinating with architects, engineers, and contractors; managing budgets and schedules; ensuring code and safety compliance; and performing quality inspections and problem-solving throughout the project lifecycle.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Project planning and management: Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets for MEP systems.</li> <li>Design coordination: Collaborate with architects, engineers, and designers to integrate MEP systems and review/approve designs, specifications, and drawings.</li> <li>Contractor/Subcontractor Selection: Participate in the overall CM selection process with focus on MEP and Commissioning capabilities. Lead in collaboration with MEP Engineer, subcontractor descope meetings for all MEP trade awards.</li> <li>Construction oversight: Supervise MEP installations, conduct site inspections, and ensure work complies with project requirements and quality standards.</li> <li>IT/AV/Surveillance: Lead the overall design, coordination and implementation of the project IT/AV/Surveillance systems. Work with integrators to ensure seamless installation of their individual turnkey systems as part of the overall construction timeline.</li> <li>Budget and cost control: Manage project budgets, track costs, and identify areas for cost savings or value engineering.</li> <li>Risk and issue management: Identify and mitigate project risks and resolve technical and logistical issues as they arise.</li> <li>Stakeholder communication: Facilitate communication between all project stakeholders, including Engineering, contractors, and internal teams.</li> <li>Compliance and safety: Ensure all MEP work complies with current/applicable building codes, industry standards, and safety regulations.</li> <li>Commissioning and handover: Oversee system testing, commissioning, and final turnover to the operations team, ensuring all systems are performing as designed and all necessary documentation is received.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering field is required.</li> <li>Experience: Proven experience as an MEP Project Manager or in a similar role is essential.</li> <li>Technical knowledge: In-depth knowledge of MEP systems, design principles, and construction processes.</li> <li>Software proficiency: Experience with project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project) and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) is beneficial.</li> <li>Skills: Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills are critical.</li> </ul>
