Overview: The Order Management Specialist is responsible for providing&nbsp;full-service support to key accounts by identifying and reacting to various operational situations while managing communication and execution between internal players.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Effectively manage customer orders using all available tools to ensure on-time shipments; including new orders, existing orders, and pending shipments.</li> <li>Use online Vendor Extranets to monitor customer requirements and performance ratings, support deduction management, and refresh Vendor Guidelines</li> <li>Document customer requirements for EDI transactions and manage exceptions by taking appropriate action to reduce failure notices.</li> <li>Work with Traffic &amp; Logistics to document and monitor routing delays, product delays, and delivery performance based on customer requirements.</li> <li>Work with Product Development &amp; Sales to document and maintain product listings, and SKU set-up</li> <li>Establish effective and supportive working relationships with all assigned accounts, exhibiting exceptional follow through and organizational skills.</li> <li>Actively participate in training programs, sales meetings, and team meetings.</li> <li>Contribute to the success of Pacific Cycle Inc by leading or assisting with other projects and tasks as assigned.</li> <li>Adhere to all Pacific Cycle and Dorel Industries policies and procedures.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>Essential Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>High school diploma, GED or the equivalent required.</li> <li>Must have working knowledge of Windows applications such as Word and Excel.</li> <li>Must be familiar with the operations and issues of mass retailers.</li> <li>Previous inside sales or customer support experience required, with proven ability to develop and maintain customer relationships.</li> <li>Must have superior follow through and organizational skills.</li> <li>Prior experience in product promotion and/or sales, retail or otherwise.</li> <li>Good telephone, written and verbal communication skills required.</li> <li>Must be attentive to detail.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Beneficial Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of SAP beneficial.</li> <li>Post-secondary training in administration, sales, marketing, business or related field beneficial.</li> <li>Previous experience in inside sales or account support with a bicycle manufacturer or distributor beneficial.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Physical Demands</strong></p> <ul> <li>Must be able to sit and use a computer for extended periods of time.</li> <li>Must be able to talk on the telephone with a clear speaking voice.</li> <li>Must be able to type at least 50 wpm</li> </ul>
