Overview: Routes and manages orders for shipping.
Responsibilities: <p><u>Operation</u></p> <ul> <li>Routes orders based on shipment incoterms utilizing customer&rsquo;s online programming or Dorel Sports Prepaid routing guide.</li> <li>Splits collect shipments in SAP based on routing the customer provides Dorel Sports.</li> <li>SCAC&rsquo;s shipments and releases them to the warehouse for picking/shipping.</li> <li>Manages shipments to insure timely routing, routing response, and carrier pick up.&nbsp; Informs customer service of any delays in routing or shipping.</li> <li>Executes the expediting of orders per requests from Customer Service/Sales.</li> <li>Prepares export documents for finished goods shipment and forwards this documentation to the warehouse.&nbsp; Completes, where necessary, EEI filing through AES.</li> <li>Assists with Hazardous Material shipments and the preparation of necessary documents.</li> <li>Recommends and drives process improvements in the routing and shipping process as it pertains to technology, reporting, KPI&rsquo;s, etc.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><u>Customer Service</u></p> <ul> <li>Reviews, edits, manages, enforces and executes on all rules and guidelines pertaining to our customers routing, shipment, and carrier guidelines.</li> <li>Creates and distributes shipment status reporting for our internal and external customers.</li> <li>Prepares freight quotes.&nbsp;</li> <li>Tracks orders per external and internal customer&rsquo;s requests.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><u>Financial/Analytical</u></p> <ul> <li>Determines the validity of customer chargeback claims.&nbsp; Researches, verifies and authorizes credit for charges.&nbsp; Files claims for those charges that are not valid.</li> <li>Audits and files freight claims.</li> <li>Reviews and audits freight bills.</li> </ul> <p><u>Other Duties Assigned</u></p> <ul> <li>Follow internal controls and company policies set by Dorel.</li> <li>Contribute to the success of Dorel Sports by leading or assisting with other projects and tasks as assigned.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><u><strong>Minimum Requirements</strong></u></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Business or Transportation/Logistics, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.</li> <li>Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.</li> <li>Knowledge of domestic transportation/warehouse operations.</li> <li>Knowledge of freight claims, chargeback claims, and freight payment process.</li> <li>Computer skills in SAP, similar ERP, or TMS program in addition to experience with Windows, Excel, Word, and Access.</li> <li>Must have the ability to multitask, work with cross functional teams, and have strong customer service skills.</li> <li>Ability to solve problems and challenges with creativity.</li> <li>Ability to work in a self-directed team environment.</li> <li>Knowledge of Supply Chain principles.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong><u>Competencies</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Communicativeness <ul> <li>Effective performers recognize the essential value of continuous information exchange and the competitive advantage it brings.
