Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Prepare financial data applicable to new programs for internal use and for governmental agencies, financing institutions and third-party agencies. Analyzes financial data for current programs for performance improvement and efficiency opportunities.</li> <li>Assists in the Certificate of Need process; accumulates and reviews data prior to the submission of a Certificate of Need.</li> <li>Determines and evaluates new business ventures. Reviews completed draft business plan documents before final submission to the President and CEO, with the Executive Vice President for Operations and Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President for Corporate Strategy.&nbsp; Coordinates activities with Administration and Finance, as deemed necessary.</li> <li>Create feasibility studies, business plans, memoranda and similar documents concerning new programs or the strategic position of existing programs.&nbsp; Financially evaluates new or existing operation programs.</li> <li>Determines and evaluates alternative methods of financing construction projects.&nbsp; Acts as a liaison with the architects and construction contractors relative to financial matters.&nbsp; Maintains accounting records pertaining to construction projects and the filing of all necessary reports to governmental agencies and other interested parties.</li> <li>Keeps the President and Chief Executive Officer and the Executive Vice President for Operations Senior Vice President for Finance and Chief Financial Officer, informed on conditions in areas under his direction.&nbsp; Attending and supporting operational activities as appropriate.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Master&rsquo;s Degree in health care administration or a related field preferred. Skills in quantitative data research and analysis.&nbsp; Excellent written and oral communication skills.</li> <li>Able to meet the public well. Neat and clean and overall appearance.</li> <li>Five to seven years of experience in health care; at least five at the management level involving new program development. Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, physician practice, home care agency, hospice, insurance or consulting firm is desirable.</li> </ul>
