As such, we welcome talented individuals that have a variety of perspectives, backgrounds, and industry experience who will contribute to the success of our One Parkland team.</p> <p><strong>Position Title:&nbsp;Project Manager - Finance Shared Services (FSS) Transformation</strong></p> <p><strong>Team and Location: Finance &ndash; Calgary, AB</strong></p> <p><strong>Minimum starting salary: $ 99,800 /year</strong></p> <p><strong>Position Summary:</strong></p> <p>Reporting to Manager, Process Improvement, this position plays a key role ensuring Parkland&rsquo;s implementation of finance shared services across geographies.</p> </div>
Responsibilities: <p>Project Management<br /><br /></p> <ul> <li>Lead the planning, execution, monitoring and close-out of transformation initiatives ensuring adherence to scope, budget and timelines to address and meet defined goals and outcomes.</li> <li>Identify organic or specific improvement/streamlining needs and changes with stakeholders, and coordinate the execution of appropriate adjustments or corrective actions.</li> <li>Monitor and coordinate dependencies across other initiatives within Parkland and resolve conflicts when required.</li> <li>Communicate and report project/initiative status, progress, challenges and successes on a regular basis, using project management best practices and tools.</li> </ul> <p>Process Improvement&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrate knowledge and experience in the use of continuous improvement, lean and six sigma tools and train others in the use of these tools.</li> <li>Identify and document operational issues in need of optimization and streamlining, and recommends the right approach, tools and methodologies to facilitate their solutioning.</li> <li>Work with multiple groups to identify business process improvements.</li> <li>Analyze process and identifies right candidates for streamlining and automation.</li> <li>Support the implementation of changes to execute efficiencies, eliminate redundancies and streamline workflows.</li> <li>Solve problems and recommend solutions to leadership teams.</li> <li>Support the development and maintenance of process improvement policies and procedures.</li> <li>Support the development and maintenance of continuous improvement training programs.</li> <li>Support the constant improvement of process performance through development and maintenance of key metrics and dashboards.</li> </ul> <p>Service Management &nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Build a strong partnership with each business unit and shared services leaders to ensure that each business views the process improvement team as a key service provider to the organization.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with established service level agreements; Service Definitions, Performance Measurements, Internal Performance Ratings, Customer Service Reviews.</li> <li>Ensure satisfactory strategic customer interaction and operational customer interaction.</li> <li>Demonstrate service excellence attitude in all interactions with team members and clients.</li> </ul> <p>Change Management &nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Support systematic roll-out of continuous improvement initiatives.</li> <li>Work with cross functional teams to ensure the adoption of new improvements strategies.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>Qualifications and Skills:</strong></p> <ul> <li>This role follows a hybrid work structure where the successful candidate will be required to work in our Calgary office on select days.</li> <li>University education (bachelor&rsquo;s degree) in business or related field Educational focus in Operations/Change Management/Lean methodologies.</li> <li>5 years of proven project management experience required.</li> <li>3 years of proven project experience in continuous improvement or business transformation projects is preferred.</li> <li>Lean Six Sigma certification required, Black Belt strongly preferred.</li> <li>Extensive MS Office skills on Word/Excel/PowerPoint</li> <li>Project Management capabilities, certification/designation is mandatory and asset experience in data analysis and reporting, knowledge of PowerBI desktop is considered an asset.</li> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation of training sessions and workshops.</li> <li>Experience in working in a work environment driven by strong SLA (Service Level Agreements).</li> <li>Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment delivering projects in a highly professional manner while following strict timelines</li> <li>Demonstrated capability to serve the business as a highly valued customer.</li> </ul> <p><strong>We Offer:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Our Performance-based Annual Incentive Plan, an annual bonus awarding your performance.</li> <li>A share in our success through the Employee Share Purchase Plan and 100% company matching.</li> <li>A flexible group benefit plan that offers health and dental coverage choices to meet the needs of each unique employee.
