Overview: To know all aspects in the day to day operations of the Terminal, including a general knowledge of safety and environmental regulations. Responsibilities: <br /> <br />Operate Truck Unload/Loadout facility <br /> <ul> <li>Monitoring and basic troubleshooting duties surrounding Unload/Loadout facility.</li> <li>General maintenance of unload/loadout facility</li> <li>Orientation of new drivers</li> <li>QC and Receipt of all loads</li> <li>General operational knowledge of Truck loading software (TP Vision) </li> </ul> <br />Operate Tankfarm facility <br /> <ul> <li>General knowledge of operational and maintenance duties associated with the Tankfarm facility. Tanks, piping, pumps and associated equipment.</li> <li>Monitoring and basic troubleshooting duties (complete work orders as required)</li> <li>Daily /weekly reporting/logging of activities</li> <li>Monitor tank changes ensure steady state operation</li> <li>Issuance of daily work permits (manage daily maintenance workload)</li> <li>Carry out various pm as required</li> </ul> <br />Operate Rail facility <br /> <ul> <li>Capable of moving and spotting rail cars in siding yard</li> <li>Work as a ground man while moving and spotting cars</li> <li>Work as a track mobile Operator while moving and spotting cars</li> <li>Able to setup rail cars for product unloading</li> <li>Start-up and monitoring of rail car unloading activities</li> <li>General Maintenance of Rail unloading facilities</li> <li>Competency in QC/QA procedures associated with Railcar unloading</li> <li>Basic knowledge of Rail unloading rack software system</li> <li>Basic troubleshooting</li> <li>Monitoring system via PLC</li> <li>Enter Rail car information into system</li> <li>Basic Navigation of My CP Rail website.</li> <li>Track Rail cars</li> <li>Release Rail cars</li> <li>Communication with CP Rail as necessary</li> <li>Completion of paperwork associated with Rail car unloading.</li> <li>Able to act as first responder to Rail side emergencies (spill/fire)</li> </ul> <br />
Requirements: <ul> <li>Fourth class Power Engineers Certificate is beneficial but not required</li> <li>Ideal candidate will have 2 - 3 years of related work experience</li> <li>Must be available to work shift work (days &amp; nights) and every second weekend</li> <li>Trained in operation of Track mobile is beneficial but not required</li> <li>Trained in practices/procedures surrounding the safe movement of rail cars</li> <li>Trained in the safe operation/maintenance practices involved with rail sidings (switches, tracks etc.)</li> <li>Familiar with Transport Canada guidelines for rail movement of Dangerous goods at an Industrial rail siding.</li> <li>TDG certification</li> <li>Conversant with Rail General Operating Instructions Manual (GOI)</li> <li>Conversant with Rail Safety Management System Manual (SMS)</li> <li>Trained in Emergency Firefighting/Emergency response</li> <li>First aid trained</li> <li>WHIMIS Trained</li> <li>Knowledgeable with Bowden Terminal Truck Load rack manual</li> <li>Familiar with Plant ERP manual</li> </ul> <br />Please note: <br /> <ul> <li>Candidates must be legally able to work in Canada at this time.
