Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Direct and lead the design, development and deployment of enterprise technology architecture solutions for Parkland Corporation.</li> <li>Direct and lead the identification and analysis of business drivers to develop enterprise architecture requirements.</li> <li>Provide leadership to the IT team by guiding and developing direct reports and encouraging overall collaboration and diversity of thought while ensuring optimal resources, structures and cultural changes are in place to support the enterprise architecture.</li> <li>Lead an analysis of the current technology environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for continuous improvement.</li> <li>Analyze the current technology industry and market trends to determine their potential impact on Parkland&rsquo;s enterprise architecture.</li> <li>Direct and lead the development of data standards and governance for master data management across multiple systems and applications.</li> <li>Responsible for the ongoing development of enterprise architecture governance structures and standards based on industry best practices and the needs of the business.</li> <li>Develop and maintain vendor relationships with key technology partners.</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>Service Delivery:&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Liaison between IT and business to translate each other&rsquo;s technical terms for better understanding of requirements, issues, and foster cohesive working relationship.</li> <li>Work with Senior Strategists to provide input into our Technology roadmaps to better support the Business Strategy.</li> <li>Evaluating internal functions, business development strategies, and IT processes and suggesting improvements.</li> <li>Creating business architecture models to reflect the organization's strategies and goals and creating and implementing business visions and goals.</li> <li>Evaluating systems engineering, talent recruiting, and accounting models for discrepancies and vulnerabilities.</li> <li>Providing ideas to reduce costs in IT and business leadership.</li> <li>Providing business architecture and systems processing guidance.</li> <li>Creating methods for compliance architecture, such as data storage, metadata management, and change control.</li> <li>Determining and implementing build versus buy strategies, mentor personnel, and views of the overall business strategy.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Organizational:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Maintains organization's effectiveness and efficiency by contributing to, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies.</li> <li>Participates in projects by coordinating resources and timetables to meet the demands of the Project vs Operations.</li> <li>Recommends enhancements and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.</li> <li>Ensuring the efficiency, security, and support of the organization's goals.</li> <li>Manages and runs the Architectural Review Board (ARB), as in important part of our Application and Project on-boarding process.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Supervisory and Coaching:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Leading other Senior Architects in various disciplines: Infrastructure, Integration, Data, Application, Cloud.</li> <li>Organizing training to improve employees' knowledge and skills for future organizational growth.</li> <li>Growing Jr Architects and having an involvement in the growth of other Architectural disciplines like Application or Solutions Architecture.&nbsp;</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>A minimum of 10 years&rsquo; industry experience, with at least 5 years working in a senior technical / enterprise architecture or technical architect role in at least two IT disciplines (such as technical architecture, network management, application development, middleware, information analysis, database management / operations, cybersecurity) in complex, multisite environments.</li> <li>University degree, preferably in computer science, engineering, business or a similar discipline is desirable. Relevant designations are an asset, such as Microsoft Solution Architect certifications, TOGAF, SAFe or other Agile certifications, CBAP or other business analysis certifications, CISSP, CDMP, SEI, ITIL or COBIT certifications.</li> <li>Strong understanding of both on-premise (end user computing technologies, client-server applications, web applications, database technologies, data center technologies) and cloud (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS) technology architectures, with demonstrated experience leading on-premise to cloud migration projects.</li> <li>Extensive experience with Microsoft technologies (Windows operating systems, SQL Server, M365, Sharepoint Online, MS Teams, Azure) required.</li> <li>Understanding of automation technologies, including but not limited to robotic process automation (RPA) tools (PowerAutomate / UiPath).</li> <li>Understanding of architectural principles including performance, scalability, security, availability, and flexibility, and how to design for them.</li> <li>Master data management experience including definition of master data rules and governance.</li> <li>Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies and translate business needs into solution architecture requirements, while balancing the financial impact of solution architecture alternatives.</li> <li>Ability to translate knowledge of business re-engineering principles and processes.</li> <li>Advanced problem solving and innovative and creative thinking skills.</li> <li>Exceptional interpersonal skills, including leadership, teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation.</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication, including technical writing skills.&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience in modeling and graphic representations.&nbsp;</li> <li>Able to provide consultation and guidance to project and program managers during various project phases.&nbsp;</li> <li>Enthusiastic learner with demonstrated ability to multi-task and thrive in a high volume, fast-paced and evolving work environment.&nbsp;</li> <li>Strong commitment to ensuring deadlines are maintained and achieved.&nbsp;</li> <li>Excellent interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to work with others effectively in teams.&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to develop and present new ideas and conceptualize new approaches and solutions.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <br /> <p>Please note:</p> <ul> <li>Candidates must be legally able to work in Canada at this time.
