Overview: <p>Peerscale provides a &ldquo;network of peers&rdquo; and programs for technology CEO&rsquo;s and executives to exchange ideas on managing their growing businesses. Peerscale&rsquo;s member companies play a vital role in the Canadian technology ecosystem, generating $1.8 billion in combined revenues and employing more than 11,000 people. We are looking for a CEO that understands the challenges these businesses face, and can further the value proposition of Peerscale to the local tech community.</p> <p><strong>More about Peerscale</strong></p> <p>Formerly AceTech Ontario, we recently rebranded to Peerscale to better reflect our mission of connecting tech leaders and our goal of collective learning and education through shared experiences. Our membership is made up of over 120 tech companies in Southern Ontario, like Wealthsimple, Jibestream, TribalScale, eSentire and Firmex.&nbsp;In addition to power sessions, networking dinners and a three day annual retreat, every member has access to a dedicated, trusted, and valuable personal advisory board, called a peergroup. Responsibilities: <p><strong>This is part marketing, part operations, part sales and all people. As our new CEO you will:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Own and drive our mission to join tech leaders together in a peer-to-peer network that empowers their success. Promote our vision to work together to elevate Canadian tech on the global stage.</li> <li>Expertly promote our brand, generate new leads and close new members to scale responsibly.</li> <li>Curate value-added programming that addresses the operating challenges of small-medium sized tech organizations ($2MM-$100MM in revenues).</li> <li>Deliver engaging presentations and informal remarks to a room full of successful entrepreneur CEOs and executives at regular Peerscale events.</li> <li>Leverage personal and business contacts to engage new interest in sponsorships.</li> <li>Liaise with all members, nurture network development and provide advisory on peer groups.</li> <li>Be accountable for our strategy, operations, staffing and finances including forecasting future cash flows.</li> <li>Provide ongoing interactions and updates to the Board of Directors, including quarterly documented reports.</li> <li>Collaborate and mentor staff and associates.</li> </ul>

The compensation is competitive relative to revenues. There is room to grow the membership however the real opportunity is to be a core player with lots of autonomy at the heart of the GTAs established entrepreneurial community.</li> <li><strong>This is an all-encompassing role.&nbsp;</strong>This is an opportunity to take all of your knowledge, your experience, the lessons you&rsquo;ve learned from the highs and lows of building and leading a successful company and share it. While this is a high impact role, there&rsquo;s lots of flexibility and work-life balance.&nbsp;The role has flexibility to work from your home in the GTA with regular time spent in our downtown office space to ensure the team is managed effectively.</li> </ul>
