Overview: The role will be a crucial part of the Direct to Consumer business. The responsibilities will include analyzing consumer patterns and predicting future trends, generating reports, managing relationships with cross-functional partners, vendors, and store teams. The Associate Buyer is responsible for planning and selecting a range of products to sell in retail stores &amp; ecommerce. In addition, the candidate must have experience in making purchasing decisions for the area of responsibility. The Associate Buyer must have knowledge of Customer Demands (price, quality, and availability), Market Trends, and Financial/Open to buy budgets.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Analyzing consumer buying patterns and predicting future trends;</li> <li>Regularly reviewing performance indicators, e.g. sales and discount levels;</li> <li>Managing plans for stock levels;</li> <li>Reacting to changes in demand;</li> <li>Reacting to changes in logistics;</li> <li>Meeting suppliers and negotiating terms of the contract;</li> <li>Maintaining relationships with existing suppliers and sourcing new suppliers for future products;</li> <li>Collaborating with other departments within the organization to ensure projects are completed;</li> <li>Participating in promotional activities;</li> <li>Writing reports and forecasting sales levels;</li> <li>Liaising with shop personnel to ensure product/collection supply meets demand;</li> <li>Seeking merchandise feedback from customers;</li> <li>Provide merchandising directives to stores on a monthly basis.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Analytical aptitude and financially minded</li> <li>Strategic thinker and results-driven as well as detail-oriented&nbsp;</li> <li>Highly organized.&nbsp;</li> <li>Collaborative with strong presentation skills.</li> <li>Microsoft Excel and Word proficient.&nbsp;</li> <li>Knowledge of retail math.&nbsp;</li> <li>Knowledge of brand management is a plus.</li> <li>Advance level of knowledge of OTB, Assortment Planning and Sku Management</li> <li>Knowledge of Price/Promotional strategies&nbsp;</li> <li>Bachelors required </li> <li>1-3 years of experience</li> </ul>
