Overview: We are currently looking for an Assistant Retail Planner to join our team!<br /><br />The Assistant Planner executes and develops margin, sales, and inventory plans with assigned SBU or accounts.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Work with Account Executive and Account&rsquo;s buying team to set and achieve sales, margin and inventory goals through the correct assortment and pricing strategy for each account and brand.</li> <li>Develop, maintain and analyze Account Flow &amp; Ladder plans.</li> <li>Review weekly sales results from the account's selling reports. Monitor plans and OTD pricing, making call outs where necessary, to maximize sales and minimize margin giveback.</li> <li>Work with AE and the Design/Merchandise group on a monthly/quarterly basis to share selling information, category information, sku count recommendation, and opportunities for the following season.</li> <li>Meet with AE on a regular basis to discuss issues and opportunities.</li> <li>Maintain thumbnail history of selling by style, as required by account/division.</li> <li>Create and maintain Demand sheets for replenishment buys, as required by account/division.</li> <li>Work closely with each account to develop size scales for SAO&rsquo;s, assortment plans, as required by account/division.</li> <li>Travel to accounts, trade shows, as required by account/division.</li> <li>Work with Division team members on solutions to maximize our internal sales &amp; profitability. Candidate will also provide solutions for inventory sell off.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree</li> <li>1+ years experience in specialty retailing planning/buying/stores.</li> <li>Excellent written and oral communication skills.</li> <li>Ability to analyze and solve problems, both financial and merchandise issues.</li> <li>Ability to work in team environment</li> </ul> <br /> <p>SKILLS</p> <ul> <li>High level of understanding of retail math, Excel and Word.</li> <li>Excellent written and oral communication skills.</li> <li>Ability to analyze problems and solve both financial and merchandise issues.</li> <li>Be a self starter.</li> <li>Ability to work in a team environment</li> </ul>
