Overview: The Associate Textile Designer is responsible for supporting the creation and production of original graphic and/or textile print designs that appropriately reflect the assigned brand&rsquo;s aesthetics within assigned calendar deadlines<br /><br /><br />
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Create original artwork for prints, wovens, and graphics seasonally in support of multiple brands as needed.&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to translate trends, concepts, and direction for creation of brand specific prints&nbsp;</li> <li>Create original artwork from design direction</li> <li>Advanced skill level using design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Ned Graphics&nbsp; to execute designs, color reduce, put into technical repeat, and manipulate purchased artwork</li> <li>Research current trends and concepts in order to create brand specific original artwork.</li> <li>Provide embroidery design support as needed.</li> <li>Effectively partners with design on all execution and business needs</li> <li>Assist with&nbsp; paperwork and download of purchased artwork as needed.</li> <li>Ensures that final artwork is correct for production ready standards and mechanicals.</li> <li>Continually expand upon knowledge of current trends, color and technical skill sets&nbsp;</li> <li>Maintain and organize our physical and digital libraries and archives as needed.&nbsp;</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>BA/BS/BFA&nbsp; in Graphic Design, Textile Design Illustration or related field</li> <li>Experience in design, preferably in the retail or textile industry is a plus</li> <li>2+ years&nbsp;of applied print/graphic design experience</li> <li>Field related portfolio&nbsp;</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>SKILLS:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Proficiency and expertise in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Ned Graphics or related program</li> <li>Strong artistic background including the ability to create conceptual and final art in several different mediums</li> <li>General knowledge of print and textile design.</li> <li>Good sense of color application.</li> <li>Works well under pressure with the ability to prioritize and execute multiple deadlines without sacrificing attention to detail</li> <li>Basic PC knowledge required.</li> <li>Good interpersonal communication and collaboration with cross functional partners</li> </ul>
