Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Assist the manager for assigned shift creating a differentiated service experience and ensuring optimum performance of all team members.</li> <li>Indirectly responsible for maintaining back-of-house operations with all set culinary and operational standards and specifications with the Sous Chef.</li> <li>Achieves desired results through staff development and training programs, established methods, procedures, and guidelines to maintain desired standards, and high-quality service. Then, monitors results through inspection, evaluation, and analysis. Makes changes, if necessary, to achieve end result.</li> <li>Accountable for meeting or exceeding all State and company sanitation requirements (ServSafe).</li> <li>Ensures regulatory, internal controls and policy and procedure compliance.</li> <li>Establishes and implements sequence of service to ensure consistent high-quality service standards are maintained.</li> <li>Management accountability for all team members for day to day and long-term operations to include hiring, training and developing employees which includes coaching, mentoring and appropriate performance management up to and including separation.</li> <li>Responsible for scheduling (planning, assigning, and directing work) to meet business demands to ensure optimal operations and customer satisfaction during all business hours.</li> <li>Acts as a role model to other employees and always presents oneself as a credit to the Company and encourages others to do the same.</li> <li>Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>College degree or equivalent work experience.</li> <li>Two years' progressively more challenging leadership role in a food and beverage operation.</li> <li>Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Access, Word).</li> <li>Ability to understand and analyze Department Budgets, Capital Expenditures, and P&amp;L Statements.</li> <li>Proven managerial and critical thinking skills required.</li> <li>Good oral and written communication skills, must be fluent and literate in English.</li> <li>Ability to respond calmly and make rational decisions in stressful situations with co-workers, guests and vendors.</li> <li>Must possess excellent interpersonal and employee relations skills.</li> <li>Ability to stand and walk for entire shift and mobility to move easily around entire property.</li> <li>Must be able to listen and respond to visual and aural cues.</li> <li>Must be able to tolerate areas containing varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds, and air quality.</li> <li>Successful or better performance against Performance Appraisal Standards.</li> <li>Teamwork &ndash; ability to work collaboratively with other departments and leaders to complete property/corporate initiatives and effective day-to-day operations.</li> <li>Guest feedback through comment cards, letters.</li> <li>Financial results that meet or exceed budget expectations for revenue generation and cost control.</li> <li>Effective labor management including efficient scheduling based on guest traffic patterns and overtime within property guidelines.</li> <li>Development of team to include completion of all required training and knowledge of all policies and procedures relating to their positions.</li> <li>Ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage multiple priorities in a demanding work environment.</li> <li>Price/value of outlet.</li> <li>Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 25 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.</li> <li>Must be able to qualify for any and all licenses or permits as required by city, state or federal law.</li> </ul>
