The COO will get behind the organization&rsquo;s vision of &ldquo;constantly challenging ourselves to deliver more to our clients,&rdquo; and hold members of the organization to the same standard.</p> <p>The right candidate will have an instinctive ability to recognize, retain, and respect the talent within the organization, and help guide employees to reach their full potential through support and mentorship.</p> <p>This dedicated leader will develop and maintain control of all business operations and will be an experienced and efficient leader with excellent people skills, business acumen, and an exemplary work ethic. The ideal individual will also be a strategic planner with the essential ability to specify, strategize, and define opportunities.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Oversee day-to-day operations, including but not limited to, equipment manufacturing, installation, design, and training departments.</li> <li>Partner with the two Founders of the organization to develop and execute business strategies, plans, and procedures.</li> <li>Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth by developing clear reporting and action plans based on data analysis.</li> <li>Establish and define key performance metrics (KPIs) to monitor and assess customer satisfaction and quality ratings, and then hold the team accountable for these measures.</li> <li>Maintain exceptional safety standards in production through advanced training, policies, and procedures that adhere to all codes, regulations, and compliance.</li> <li>Work closely with Quality Control to establish policies and protocols according to regulatory requirements.</li> <li>Manage, implement, and maintain necessary programs and processes for ISO 9001 compliance and/or accreditation.</li> <li>Identify areas of opportunities for EBITDA and capital improvements across the organization, including opportunities to improve revenue, increase margin, reduce cost, and increase profitability.</li> <li>Evaluate opportunities to significantly reduce Operating Expense cost structure throughout the organization all while improving efficiency.</li> <li>Attract, retain, and develop a high-performing team.</li> <li>Lead, coach, mentor, and hold direct reports accountable.</li> <li>Manage relationships with strategic partners and vendors.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Proven experience as a Chief Operating Officer, Vice President, or a similarly relevant role within an entrepreneurial organization responsible for generating revenues of $20m or greater required.</li> <li>Experience building teams or scaling organizations required.</li> <li>Adept at transitioning seamlessly from a strategic level vision to day-to-day tactical operations required.</li> <li>Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics required.</li> <li>A demonstrated execution mindset and a record of success holding people accountable required.</li> <li>Understanding of and ability to create healthy organizational culture required.</li> <li>Success recruiting and retaining top leadership teams, including the ability to recognize and cultivate rising talent required.</li> <li>Excellent interpersonal communication skills required.</li> <li>Varied experience in Operations, Quality Control, Finance, and Human Resources strongly preferred.</li> <li>Experience leading high-performance teams within the manufacturing industry strongly preferred.</li> <li>Background in a compliance-driven organizational preferred.</li> <li>Business-to-Business customer service delivery experience preferred.</li> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree required.</li> <li>Advanced degree, MBA or similar, preferred.</li> <li>Six Sigma or Lean certification preferred.</li> </ul>
