Overview: We are seeking self-motivated, detail-oriented individuals to serve as&nbsp;<strong>Civil Process Servers</strong>&nbsp;on a contract basis. This role offers flexibility, autonomy, and the ability to manage your own schedule while ensuring timely and accurate service of legal documents.
Responsibilities: <ul type="disc"> <li>Attempt service on all assigned cases at least every&nbsp;<strong>72 hours</strong>.</li> <li>Activate cases within&nbsp;<strong>24 hours</strong>&nbsp;of receiving documents.</li> <li>Make at least&nbsp;<strong>one weekend attempt</strong>&nbsp;per assigned file.</li> <li>Ensure&nbsp;<strong>due diligence</strong>&nbsp;with 3-8 attempts before marking a case as non-served (weekday mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends).</li> <li>Capture&nbsp;<strong>GPS-stamped photos</strong>&nbsp;and log attempts using our proprietary mobile apps (PVLS &amp; PSO).</li> <li>Complete and return affidavits promptly to receive payment.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul type="disc"> <li><strong>PERC card required</strong>&nbsp;(Prior experience in&nbsp;<strong>process serving</strong>&nbsp;preferred).</li> <li>Reliable&nbsp;<strong>transportation, valid driver&rsquo;s license, and auto insurance</strong>.&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to work&nbsp;<strong>variable hours</strong>, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.</li> <li>Comfortable using&nbsp;<strong>mobile apps and technology</strong>&nbsp;for case management.</li> <li>Access to a&nbsp;<strong>computer, printer, and scanner</strong>.</li> <li>Residing within or near Cook County is preferred.</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>Ideal Candidates</strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Experience in&nbsp;<strong>private investigation, law enforcement, or legal services</strong>&nbsp;is a plus.</li> <li>Highly organized, professional, and detail-oriented.</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>How to Apply</strong></p> <p>Interested candidates should email their&nbsp;<strong>updated resume</strong>&nbsp;to:&nbsp;<span data-pasted="true"><a href="mailto:Anthony.Smith@ProVest.us" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Anthony.Smith@ProVest.us</a>&nbsp;</span></p>
