Overview: <p>As a&nbsp;<strong>Family Medicine Physician</strong>&nbsp;with&nbsp;<strong>Golden Valley Health Centers</strong>, you would make a lasting difference in the lives of Central Valley communities! Our physicians provide comprehensive, high-quality primary care to patients of all ages, including newborns, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and older adults. You will evaluate, diagnose, and manage a wide range of acute and chronic conditions, provide preventative care, perform office-based procedures, and deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a collaborative team environment.</p> <p>Family Medicine Physicians also provide gynecologic care, manage complex medical conditions, assess and stabilize emergent situations consistent with policy, and supervise Advanced Practice Providers within the practice.</p> <p><strong>Location and Schedule:</strong>&nbsp;This position will work at our&nbsp;<strong>West</strong>&nbsp;<strong>Turlock Clinic</strong>&nbsp;in&nbsp;<strong>Turlock, CA</strong>&nbsp;within&nbsp;<strong>Stanislaus County</strong>. Flexibility to work five (5) eight (8) hour days or four (4) ten (10) hour days. Physicians provide direct outpatient care and may be scheduled for additional shifts as available.</p> <p><strong>Compensation:</strong>&nbsp;$240,000 &ndash; $275,000 Annual Salary, Sign-On Bonus, and Relocation Assistance Eligible. Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Consistently adheres to GVHC&rsquo;s communication guidelines and expectations with patients, peers, and supervisors.</li> <li>Demonstrates effective communication and problem-solving skills.</li> <li>Provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, including newborns, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.</li> <li>Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and provide consultation for a wide variety of illnesses, injuries, and chronic conditions.</li> <li>Perform comprehensive histories and physical examinations.</li> <li>Provide preventative care including screenings, immunizations, and counseling.</li> <li>Assess, stabilize, and determine disposition of patients with emergent conditions consistent with policy.</li> <li>Provide gynecologic care including evaluation and treatment of conditions affecting the female reproductive system.</li> <li>Perform office-based procedures including minor surgical procedures, biopsies, incision and drainage, suturing, and other procedures consistent with training and privileges.</li> <li>Manage uncomplicated fractures, dislocations, wounds, and minor burns.</li> <li>Perform local anesthetic techniques, nerve blocks, and diagnostic procedures as appropriate.</li> <li>Provide direct supervision to Advanced Practice Providers including development of work agreements and protocols in accordance with regulatory requirements.</li> <li>Participate in quality assurance, peer review, and staff performance improvement activities.</li> <li>Attend and participate in Medical Staff meetings and assigned committees.</li> <li>Maintain compliance with GVHC personnel policies, clinical protocols, and Principles of Practice.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>Physical Demands</strong></p> <ul> <li>The employee must occasionally lift up to 40 pounds and/or move up to 100 pounds (on wheels).</li> <li>Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.</li> <li>Must be able to hear staff on the phone and those who are served in-person, and speak clearly in order to communicate information to clients and staff.</li> <li>Must have vision with or without lenses that are adequate to read memos, a computer screen, personnel forms and clinical and administrative documents.</li> <li>Must have high manual dexterity.</li> <li>Must be able to reach above the shoulder level to work, must be able to bend, squat, sit, stand, stoop, crouch, kneel, twist/turn, finger and feel.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Work Environment</strong></p> <p>The noise level in the work environment is usually average.</p> <p><strong>Education/Experience Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>Graduation from an accredited medical school.</li> <li>Completion of an accredited residency training program with Board Eligibility or Board Certification in Family Medicine.</li> <li>New graduates welcome to apply.</li> <li>Valid California Medical License.</li> <li>DEA Certificate and current CPR certification.</li> <li>Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible with Board Certification required within three (3) years of employment.</li> <li>Must be able to clear credentialing and obtain privileges as required</li> </ul>
