Full Time

Overview: Primarily responsible for executing the strategic plan and leading all employees for the business unit.<br />Responsible for driving and achieving company and operational goals and provides oversight and direction of operations including sales, construction, resource planning, procurement, development, entitlement, acquisition and customer care.<br />Serves as a member of Division Operating team and a business partner to the Division President.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Work with Division President and Operating Team to define, implement and achieve strategic and operational plans for the division.</li> <li>Translate objectives into measurable goals and actions plans for employees.</li> <li>Monitors relevant changes in the marketplace and works to continuously position the division to take advantage of opportunities.</li> <li>Responsible for forward planning -- finding and negotiating land deals, building relationships with municipalities, and overseeing the entitlement and development process.</li> <li>Oversees and monitors profit goals, margins, lot absorptions, overhead management, budgets.</li> <li>Manages and monitors community sales, construction and customer service operations.</li> <li>Develops an external, local network to ensure continuous success of the Company's strategic plan relative to his/her local market.</li> <li>Analyzes local market: land prices, competitors, feasibility, entitlement issues.</li> <li>Lead organizational change management for business unit and implement any new programs that will drive results and impact the organization.</li> <li>Recruit, onboard, train, motivate and manage division management in executing agreed upon plans and objectives of the Company.</li> <li>Responsible for inspiring employees and driving engagement action planning to be a great place to work for the market.</li> <li>Develop, implement, and manage customer satisfaction and quality programs to continually improve buyer acceptance and satisfaction ratings for the company.</li> <li>Drives continuous improvement mindset for market.</li> <li>Ensures appropriate staffing to meet department needs.</li> <li>Utilizes recruiting and selection tools/processes to build organizational talent.</li> <li>Delegates work according to employee's abilities and skills.</li> <li>Evaluates employee's performance and plans for compensation actions in accordance with that performance.</li> <li>Provides developmental opportunities through identification of internal and external training opportunities.</li> <li>Creates opportunities for employee growth.</li> <li>Provides continuous coaching with regard to functional and leadership standards (technical skills and behaviors).</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelors degree preferred.</li> <li>Minimum 5 to 7 years previous related experience.</li> <li>Demonstrated visionary, yet tactical leadership. Must be able to translate ideas into clear, discrete action plans.</li> <li>Homebuilding Industry experience preferred.</li> <li>Construction knowledge.</li> <li>Proven track record of achievement and sustained business results.</li> <li>Strong business acumen including the interpretation of income statements, balance sheets, and cost structures.</li> <li>Ability to lead change in a continuous improvement environment.</li> <li>Proven experience in working directly and effectively with Field and Corporate Leadership teams.</li> <li>Skilled with business technology (i.e., Excel, CRM, PowerPoint, etc.</li> </ul>
