Overview: <p>Responsible for managing the activities and completion of commercial construction projects and ensuring construction schedules, safety, SWPPP, quality standards, and customer satisfaction are maintained throughout the construction process.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Developing work schedules in coordination with trades (subcontractors, suppliers and vendors) to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.</li> <li>Oversee and/or process day-to-day administrative items, contracts, and change orders per supervisor&rsquo;s authorization.</li> <li>Supervise trades assigned to area of responsibility, act as a liaison between the Design team (Architecture, Engineering, Landscape Architect and Interior Designer) and trades to ensure construction complies with drawings and specifications.&nbsp;</li> <li>Responsible for overseeing correct installations based upon the contract documents and shop drawings/submittals.</li> <li>Monitor work performance and productivity of trades to ensure project rules, procedures, safety requirements, etc. are maintained.&nbsp;</li> <li>Manage jobsite subcontractor meetings to keep on schedule and be proactive on potential changes to the work.&nbsp;Advise project management of potential problems, work interference, schedule difficulties, etc.</li> <li>Responsible for proactively anticipating and/or resolving problems as they arise.</li> <li>Implementation and ongoing execution of quality assurance checks throughout the progression of construction.</li> <li>Budgeting, estimating and bid negotiations on some projects</li> <li>Working successfully in a team environment and working towards a common goal</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Construction or Engineering preferred&nbsp;</li> <li>Minimum 4 years construction experience or equivalent</li> <li>Minimum 2 years as Construction Manager or equivalent</li> <li>Ability to direct and manage trade performance</li> <li>Strong ability to read blueprints</li> <li>Strong knowledge of municipal permitting and regulations</li> <li>Strong knowledge of building codes</li> <li>Strong knowledge of construction-related scheduling software</li> <li>Good application of excel, PPT, and Word and ability to lead presentation</li> <li>Demonstrated commitment to customer satisfaction</li> <li>Ability to control cost overruns and manage a budget</li> </ul>
