Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Support oversight of the accounting function, including accounts payable, subcontractor payables, payroll, receivables, job cost accounting, and general ledger activities.</li> <li>Ensure financial reporting and accounting practices comply with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies.</li> <li>Assist with preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and corporate leadership.</li> <li>Support development of annual operating budgets, housing budgets, capital budgets, land development budgets, and cash flow projections.</li> <li>Partner with leadership to analyze budget vs. actual performance and assist with financial forecasting and profitability analysis.</li> <li>Assist in the preparation and review of tax filings, including personal property, sales and use, and real estate tax returns.</li> <li>Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation, responding to requests, and assisting with audit processes.</li> <li>Help design and maintain accounting procedures that strengthen financial controls and reporting processes.</li> <li>Collaborate with department leaders to ensure consistent cost coding and general ledger accounting practices.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.</li> <li>CPA (or actively pursuing) preferred/not required.</li> <li>3 - 10 years of experience preferred, ideally in public accounting (audit or assurance) or a corporate accounting environment.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting controls.</li> <li>Experience with financial analysis, budgeting, and variance analysis.</li> <li>Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.</li> <li>Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.</li> </ul>
