Full-Time

$45,000-$50,000 Annually DOE

Overview: QuakeWrap is an environment where creativity, based on sound structural engineering principles, is required. We design fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) material to strengthen reinforced concrete, steel, masonry and timber structures including buildings, bridges, piers, piles, retaining walls, pipes, penstocks, culverts and tunnels. You will be participating in the development and manufacturing of many QuakeWrap, Inc. products and innovations. This position will report to the Production Team Manager.<br /><br />This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm with some flexibility.<br /><br /><strong>Work Environment</strong> <br /><br />This job operates in a manufacturing and production environment. This role routinely uses power tools and machining equipment. The performance of this position will require exposure to areas where the use of personal protective equipment are mandatory.
Responsibilities: <strong>Essential Functions</strong><br />Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the<br />essential functions.<br /> <ul> <li>Design equipment and tools to improve manufacturing process and field installation</li> <li>Design and produce project items through different manufacturing means (additive, subtractive, plastic casting)</li> <li>Collaborate with Engineering and Production teams to create custom construction solutions</li> <li>Develop new and improve upon system components and accessories</li> <li>Generate standard operating procedures (SOP) for manufacturing processes</li> <li>Become knowledgeable or be able to learn independently about the industry, latest product innovations, and issues faced by the end user</li> <li>Communicate with vendors about raw materials and consumables</li> <li>Must be a hands-on engineer with tenacity for overcoming obstacles</li> <li>Must be an independent and self-starter individual</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree (BS) in Civil, Mechanical Engineering or related field</li> <li>Understanding of drawing standards</li> <li>Prior experience with composites (preferred but not required)</li> </ul> <strong>Competencies</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Microsoft Office Programs</li> <li>CAD Programs: Solidworks, Autodesk Fusion 360, etc.</li> </ul>
