Full-Time

Overview: QuakeWrap designs fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) material to strengthen concrete, steel, masonry and timber structures including buildings, bridges, piers, piles, retaining walls, pipes, penstocks, culverts and tunnels. We have a global project base. Once you have been trained on our products and installation procedures, you will use this knowledge combined with your creative abilities to provide training and oversight at locations where contractors are installing our products. As this is a part time responsibility, you will also be participating in the manufacturing of many QuakeWrap, Inc. products and innovations in order to get a better overall understanding of the products. As part of your training, you may also be on some projects with our construction affiliate, FRP Construction LLC. This will allow you to get hands-on experience with the products and learn more about the issues that arise on site, so you are better suited to your role as a contractor supervisor. The position will report to the QW Project Manager. <br /> <br /><br /><strong>Position Type/Expected Hours of Work </strong><br /> <br />This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm with some flexibility. While performing contractor supervision duties, these hours may vary. While training with our construction affiliate, hours are subject to the restrictions of the project. <br /> <br /><strong>Travel </strong><br /> <br />Travel can vary greatly based on the number of supervision projects happening at one time, however the projects usually last 2-3 days on average and should occur at about a rate of once to twice per month. Requirements: <strong>Physical Demands </strong><br /> <br /> <ul> <li>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.</li> <li>During the manufacturing of composite systems, the employee will need to wear a respirator for short periods of time. A respiratory fit test will be administered to check fitness level and ensure proper fitting of respirator. Candidates may need to be able to lift and hold product and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, as well as comfortably work while standing for long periods of time. The candidate will need to be able to sit at a desk for extended periods of time. In addition, the candidate will also need to be able to fly/drive for multiple hours to and from project sites.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <br /><strong>Education and Experience</strong> <br /> <br /> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalency degree</li> <li>5+ years of experience working with power tools and equipment</li> <li>5+ years of experience in the composites &amp; manufacturing industry</li> <li>1 year of forklift experience (preferred, but not required)</li> <li>Prior experience with composites (preferred, but not required)</li> </ul>
