Overview: The World&rsquo;s Most Innovative FRP Company&trade; is looking to hire a Sr. Pipe Technician with the primary purpose of taking its carbon and glass fiber based composite pipe products to the next level.At QuakeWrap&reg; we specialize in designing fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) systems to strengthen above and below ground infrastructure. Now our goal is to expand our products and services to new pipe installation with small and large diameter FRP pipes made on site (via a patented system funded at the federal level) and our facility in Tucson, Arizona. As such, the Sr. Pipe Technician&rsquo;s primary responsibility will be to develop and implement procedures to make prototypes, andthen transition to mass manufacturing of our patented composite pipe systems. The tasks of the Sr. Pipe Technician shall be assigned by the Pipeline Division Manager and Company CEO/President.<br /><br /><strong>Work Environment</strong><br />This job mainly operates in a research and development laboratoryand production facility. This role routinely uses power tools and machining equipment, as well as frequent exposure to FRP materials and other chemicals. The performance of this position will require exposure to areas where the use of personal protective equipment are mandatory. This job also operates in a professional office environment where this role might require the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines

Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or related field(preferred)</li> <li>Trade school diploma in manufacturing,pipe construction or related fields</li> <li>At least 5 years of experience in pipe manufacturing industry (preferred)</li> <li>At least 5 years of experience at anFRP pipe facility (preferred)</li> </ul> <strong>Physical Demands</strong><br />The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.<br /><br />While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to lift up to 40lbs. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, kneel, bend, use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms, extended periods of sitting and concentration, finger and wrist dexterity required.<br /><br /><strong>Position Type/Expected Hours of Work</strong><br />This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm with some flexibility.<br /><br /><strong>Travel</strong><br />No travel required for this position.
