Entry Level

$13/hour to start

Overview: <p><strong>The Company:&nbsp;</strong><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">Our Hamilton based client, who is a unique player in the collections industry, requires an energetic, motivated and trustworthy person for the newly created position of Clerical Support &amp; Receptionist.<br /><br /></span>$13 per hour to start, employee review in 3 months where wage increase is discussed based on performance</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Answering a multi-line phone system, and direct calls to appropriate individuals.</li> <li>Greeting visitors; whether in person or on the telephone in a friendly professional manner and direct calls to proper channel.</li> <li>Ensure reception area is kept tidy and presentable with marketing materials available etc.</li> <li>Managing &amp; distributing debtor payments i.e. bank deposit, debit/credit terminal, E-transfers, cash, cheques</li> <li>Prepare and complete bank deposits</li> <li>Receive and sort incoming &amp; outgoing mail and direct accordingly</li> <li>Typing office memos, preparing documents in MS Word &amp; Excel</li> <li>Filing and organizing paperwork, photocopying, faxing</li> <li>Compile reports and summaries on activity areas for management team</li> <li>Order office supplies</li> <li>Performing other related clerical duties as may be assigned by the accounting department and management team</li> <li>Being prompt, reliable, and friendly with a mature and experienced attitude</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>Work Conditions:</strong></p> <p>Hours- &nbsp;Monday to Friday 9-5, allows for some flexibility</p> As part of the selection process, candidates will be asked to participate in employment references and background checks
Requirements: <ul> <li>Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or educational equivalent</li> <li>Exceptional people, communication and presentation skills</li> <li>Ability to maintain composure in difficult or stressful situations</li> <li>Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills</li> <li>2+ years prior work equivalent work experience is an asset</li> <li>Strong working knowledge of Microsoft computer software; Excel, Word, and Outlook proficient</li> <li>Accuracy in data inputting</li> </ul>
