Responsibilities: An employee at this level is required to perform some or all of the following duties, which do not include all tasks to be performed:<br /> <ul> <li>Coordination of designated contract management projects or tasks</li> <li>Provider network project development, management and coordination</li> <li>Provide training to staff and contract agencies</li> <li>Link with contract agencies and the regional community</li> <li>Participate in and / or provide support to PIHP provider network committees and workgroups</li> <li>Review provider network policies and develop related procedures for the PIHP</li> <li>Write detailed provider network and contract monitoring reports, including data analysis</li> <li>Assist with development and maintenance of service and non-service contracts</li> <li>Maintain contract oversight and coordination of contract monitoring reviews</li> <li>Provide clarification on contract requirements and standards</li> <li>Review plans of improvement of contractors</li> <li>Assist with identifying network adequacy and service needs</li> <li>Prepare reports and documentation to demonstrate meeting managed care functions</li> <li>Support the areas of Substance Use Disorder Prevention and Treatment and Mental Health Treatment</li> <li>Assist with Requests for Proposals</li> <li>Facilitate meetings</li> <li>Assist with MDHHS inquiry and report requests</li> <li>Provide support for external audits</li> </ul>
Requirements: <strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong>&nbsp;(An employee must have the following credentials, training, and experience.)<br /> <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree</li> <li>Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel</li> <li>Ability to exercise some flexibility in problem solving, when expected results are clear and generally set by others, provided certain outcomes are avoided</li> <li>Ingenuity is required to adapt, alter or improvise alternatives when unexpected situations occur</li> <li>Ability to exercise discretion and some flexibility in selecting an optimal solution from established alternatives to obtain the desired outcome</li> <li>Ability to use or exert influence in a work process</li> <li>Ability to be a &ldquo;work leader&rdquo; (of a person or function), or advise others</li> <li>Ability to provide, exchange or explain information which conveys an opinion or evaluation of the facts or analyses</li> <li>Ability to develop and/or maintain effective work relationships with new, established or non-receptive individuals/organizations through tact, diplomacy and persuasion</li> <li>Valid State of Michigan Driver&rsquo;s License</li> <li>Must have access to transportation</li> </ul> <strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Master&rsquo;s Degree</li> <li>Basic knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint</li> <li>Experience working at Pre-Paid Inpatient Health Plan (PIHP) and / or Community Mental Health (CMH)</li> <li>Experience working at Substance Use Disorder Service Provider</li> <li>Knowledge of State of Michigan Medicaid Provider Manual</li> <li>Experience in the area of Contract Management&nbsp;</li> </ul>
