Overview: Retail Business Services is the services company of leading grocery retail group Ahold Delhaize USA, currently providing services to five omnichannel grocery brands, including Food Lion, Giant Food, The GIANT Company, Hannaford and Stop &amp; Shop.
Responsibilities: <br /> <ul> <li>Maintaining proactive relationships with business management teams to stay in-sync with an everchanging business environment.</li> <li>Assisting in the onboarding and continued support of external and internal auditors, including tracking of all audit requests.</li> <li>Evaluating controls impact assessment for Internal Audit and Risk &amp; Controls Findings.</li> <li>Using technical expertise and understanding of end-to-end process controls to analyze impacts of business process changes/additions.</li> <li>Helping ensure that the accounting policy function is structured to capture changes in IFRS and other industry guidance and those changes in practice are effectively communicated, in a timely manner to the Accounting Services and External Parties.</li> <li>Identifying opportunities to implement improved business processes and controls.</li> <li>Supporting SAP business security administrator, including assessment and problem-solving.</li> <li>Conducting research and analysis for developing SAP security roles, Fiori tiles and t-codes.</li> <li>Completing periodic key financial and SAP IT controls monitoring and testing.</li> <li>Providing direction and support on questions on documentation to others within the larger accounting department as well as to business partners outside of accounting.</li> <li>Creating impactful recommendations to assist management in better managing their risks; and</li> <li>Attending learning programs, training and networking sessions for self-development.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <br /> <ul> <li>A minimum of 6-8 years of working or consulting experience in the following areas: financial and/or operational accounting;</li> <li>SAP S/4 experience a plus;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Critical thinking skills &ndash; use independent thought to obtain information and analyze complex situations</li> <li>Effective communication skills &ndash; convey information and ideas concisely; both verbally and in writing, including development of training documentation and presentation skills</li> <li>Project management skills &ndash; work in and/or lead teams to effectively perform work and prioritize assignments within challenging deadlines</li> <li>Accounting, audit, technical knowledge (MS Office, advanced MS Excel, etc.)</li> <li>Initiative, works with little supervision, problem-solving, ability to assess issues and develop plan of action</li> <li>Quickly adapting to changing priorities with the needs of the business</li> <li>4-6 years&rsquo; experience in a professional work environment</li> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree and relevant business experience</li> <li>Ability to travel within the US 5-10%</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Business Acumen &ndash; the ability to understand organizational processes and objectives as well as obtain organizational insight through effective relationships</li> <li>Influence/Persuasion &ndash; the ability to collaborate with others to remove organizational barriers and use persuasive techniques to reach consensus</li> <li>5+ years of accounting, consulting, or audit work experience</li> <li>Aptitude and desire to understand how technology (i.e., SAP technology, security, data analytics, general IT processes, robotic process automation, machine learning, etc.) impacts business processes</li> <li>Experience with change management, user acceptance testing, research and analysis</li> <li>Experience in use of data analytics and utilization of tools such as PowerBI, Microsoft Access or other related data analytics tools</li> <li>Experience in and/or passion for retail</li> </ul>
