Overview: The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a business partner to Brand Finance, Supply Chain Finance, RBS FP&amp;A, PDL FP&amp;A ensuring end-to-end process ownership in managing the period close accounting activities (RBS and Genpact), variance analysis, balance sheet flux (EPM reporting) and account reconciliations, as well as overseeing intercompany service charges for Supply Chain Finance, RBS FP&amp;A and PDL FP&amp;A.<BR>This position works very closely with peers in Corp &amp; GL Accounting, ensuring all closing activities for assigned brand and service entity level are completed with accuracy and timeliness, in order to support the consolidation efforts ensuring accounting practices, policies and controls are administered.<BR>This position is focused on end-to-end support for the business/entity they are assigned, as well as partnering with Genpact associates in support of the company&rsquo;s record to report processes.
Responsibilities: <br /><ul><li>Participate in managing the period end close process, review journal entries as appropriate.<BR>This includes: accrual entries for annual deals, accrued deferred revenue entries, prepaid amortization entries, missed or manual billing accruals, quarterly true-up entries, etc.<BR></li><li>Ensure that all accounting reconciliations are completed and ensure any known/unknown variances reported.<BR>Any known and unknown variances are reported, and appropriate action initiated.<BR></li><li>Prepares periodic forecasts, variance and trend analysis, and analyzes results for management.<BR>Prepares account analysis and performs trend/flux analysis to identify, research, and explain variances to budget, forecasts, flash, etc.<BR>Responds to questions and solves problems as requested by department managers.</li><li>Reviews ledger activity for accuracy, completeness, and reasonableness, while interpreting trends and making recommendations for corrective action.<BR>Addresses questions and concerns relating to financial statements from multiple business partners.<BR></li><li>Ensure timely reporting and accurate information and maintain adequate controls to avoid errors.<BR> </li><li>Analyze productivity trends and implement actions to decrease costs while increasing productivity.<BR> This requires thorough knowledge of systems to meet specialized needs.<BR>Applies expertise and core competencies gathered from major projects and functional experience to solve problems.<BR>Shares learnings and best practices with Analysts responsible for other process areas, and also leverages their learnings and experience.<BR></li><li>Oversee internal and external audit requirements.<BR>Perform and sign off on Risk & Controls departmental assessments and manages a team to assist with regulatory examination.</li><li>Partner with management to drive end-to end mapping and attests to the accuracy and provide quality assurance of all tests for newly introduced systems and processes.<BR>Provides support to various special projects.<BR>Provides guidance, leadership and mentoring to other associates as needed.<BR>Promotes an effective project / functional environment through the effective use of indirect mentoring and coaching skills.</li><li>Oversees the development and compliance with accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.</li><li>Ensure the accuracy and timelines of monthly, quarterly and year end close.</li><li>Responsible maintaining mutually beneficial partnerships with all Brands, Support Companies and GSO, </li><li>Maintain policies, procedures, and controls to ensure accounting activity is in accordance with established Service Level agreements, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and other corporate, industry, and accounting guidelines.</li><li>Partner with offshore team to ensure completion of all applicable activities on timely basis in compliance with SLAs through collaboration and appropriate communication.</li></ul><br />
