Overview: The Specialist II Décor Adaptation is responsible for working in close collaboration with ADUSA Brand leadership to gather essential design inputs and translate them into physical store décor concepts that align with Brand business goals; including executing fabrication, delivery and installation of store décor packages.<BR> The Specialist’s design projects are instrumental in harmonizing and bolstering ADUSA’s capital plan strategy, collaborating with SMEs including Store Development, Brand Format, and Marketing teams and nurturing relationships with external retail design partners, including décor vendors, material and finish representatives, architects and engineers, fixture manufacturers, and onsite general contractors.<BR><br /><br />The Specialist’s project work provides an opportunity to shape the visual identity of our retail spaces, making a profound impact on ADUSA Brand presence in the marketplace.<br />
Responsibilities: <br /><ul><li>Develop comprehensive scope of work for décor and signage in new/remodel store capital plans and collaborate with Brand representatives for approval, covering store perimeter, eye-level, and buy-level informational and pricing signage.</li><li>Propose project timelines that include scope development, vendor/ A/E coordination, fabrication/delivery, install, punch and project closeout.</li><li>Oversee the capital spend for each project.</li><li>Work closely with Brand internal creative team to develop project signage and scope drawings, coordinate information with Store Development Project Managers and Architect/Engineering (A/E) team.</li><li>Translate the store design process into a well-defined and actionable plan and timeline.</li><li>Support various stakeholders, including Brand format, marketing, store operations, and merchandising teams.</li><li>Build and maintain a network of external partners, including décor fabrication and installation vendors, building material/finish suppliers, architects, engineers, and general contractors.</li><li>Successfully design and propose signage and decor solutions that optimize functionality across various store formats, ensuring sustainability, cost-effectiveness, operational efficiency, and aesthetic appeal of in-store customer-facing fixtures.</li><li>Collaborate with Brand representatives to lead research, development, prototyping, testing, and value engineering of new décor and signage designs.<BR> Standardize these designs for scalability, which includes researching current retail industry for inspiration and insights.</li><li>Work with Brand internal creative team to develop décor and signage specifications, especially when changes or updates are necessary, and communicate changes through design bulletins archiving them on RBS internal cloud storage sharing services.</li><li>Maintain and coordinate a schedule of building materials and finishes sharing this information with the A/E and Construction teams for seamless project management.</li><li>Additional job duties may be assigned as needed to meet the needs of the business and support our Values.</li></ul><br />
Requirements: <br /> <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Interior Design, or equivalent relevant experience.</li> <li>8+ years of experience in architecture/engineering, with a focus on project management and physical retail design</li> <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office as well as Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Sketchup</li> <li>Willingness and ability to travel as required up to 10% of the time</li> <li>Strong business management skills with the ability to initiate and lead strategic design projects involving both internal and external stakeholders</li> <li>Exceptional organizational skills to effectively manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously</li> <li>Proficient in implementing strategic plans and achieving results through collaboration with multiple teams and stakeholders</li> </ul>
