Overview: <br />Retail Business Services is the services company of leading grocery retail group Ahold Delhaize USA, currently providing services to five omnichannel grocery brands, including Food Lion, Giant Food, The GIANT Company, Hannaford and Stop &amp; Shop.<br /><br /><br />Responsible for accurately validating, analyzing and auditing accounting/operational transactions and activity in business area: Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable &ndash; Resale, Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable &ndash; Not for Resale, Retail/DC Ops, Non-Store Cash &amp; Org Charges E-comm.<BR>Role will be responsible for all aspects of assigned revenue and receivable accounts to included:<br /> <ul> <li> <p>Timely and accurate invoice preparation and/or invoice authorization.</p> </li> <li> <p>Preparation of general ledger entries.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</p> </li> <li> <p>Difficult account reconciliations.</p> </li> <li> <p>Preparation of standard and adhoc reports.</p> </li> <li> <p>In-depth account analysis and response to P&amp;L/Balance Sheet questions.</p> </li> <li> <p>Process documentation and process improvement.</p> </li> <li> <p>May perform one or more Sarbanes-Oxley audit controls.</p> </li> </ul>
Responsibilities: &bull; Prepare journal entries and general ledger operations.<BR><br />&bull; Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts.<BR>Perform reconciliations for balance sheet and profit and loss accounts.<BR><br />&bull; Analyzes general ledger accounts for accuracy; analyzes accrual accounts to ensure proper accruals.<BR>Maintain correct general ledger balances for assigned accounts.<BR><br />&bull; Assist with monthly closing and preparation of monthly financial statements.<BR><br />&bull; Support quarterly and year-end closings and preparation for annual audit.<BR><br />&bull; Assists with the preparation of annual budgets, updates, and strategic plans for assigned areas.<BR><br />&bull; Conducts research, performs analysis and prepares financial reports as requested.<BR><br />&bull; Monitors compliance of the Accounts Receivable approval policies for invoice, credit memo, and payback transactions.<BR><br />&bull; Maintains policy and procedures for assigned processes.<BR><br />&bull; Partners with Category Management, Supply Chain, Retail Services, Banking, Information Technology, and other internal and external business partners to identify and resolve business issues.<BR><br />&bull; Assists on projects and other duties as assigned.<BR><br /><br />
