Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Lead and manage surveying activities for land development and engineering projects, including boundary, topographic, ALTA, construction staking, and as-built surveys.</li> <li>Oversee field crews and office staff, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to project timelines.</li> <li>Perform advanced survey calculations, QA/QC reviews, and final deliverables for client submissions.</li> <li>Interpret engineering plans, plats, legal descriptions, and client requirements.</li> <li>Serve as a technical resource for project managers, engineers, and clients.</li> <li>Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.</li> <li>Manage project workflow, scheduling, and quality standards across multiple active jobs.</li> <li>Support business development efforts by providing technical insight during client meetings or proposals.</li> <li>Mentor junior survey staff and support their professional development.</li> <li>Contribute to process improvements to enhance productivity and service quality.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>8+ years of progressive experience in land surveying, preferably within land development or civil engineering environments.</li> <li>Professional Surveyor and Mapper (PSM) license in the state of Florida <strong>strongly preferred</strong> (or ability to obtain licensure within a defined period).</li> <li>Strong expertise with GPS, robotic instruments, data collectors, CAD software, and survey processing tools.</li> <li>Proven experience leading field crews or survey teams.</li> <li>Strong understanding of Florida surveying standards, plats, subdivisions, and construction processes.</li> <li>Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.</li> <li>Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.</li> </ul>
