Overview: <br /> <p>SECU is currently seeking a University Partner Relationship Coordinator.&nbsp;</p> <p>The University Partner Relationship Coordinator will demonstrate SECU&rsquo;s mission and core values by developing and maintaining relationships with our University Partners by attending community events and campus activities to win new SECU memberships via SECU&rsquo;s financial literacy programs. Serves as a liaison between Sr. Partner Relationship Manager, the retail teams, LOB partners and University Partners in growing new and maintaining existing relationships. Incumbent coordinates and facilitates Campus and Community events, either virtually or in person and on their own or in partnership with respective LOBs. May key new business into respective SECU systems themselves or partner with retail teams to do so.</p>
Responsibilities: <br /> <ul> <li>Participates in community activities to advance SECU&rsquo;s mission and core values and promote the benefit of SECU membership.</li> <li>Develop and manage a portfolio of existing partners (primarily University of Maryland Athletics) and acquire prospective new members through targeted development activities, to include outbound dialing, university events, financial education seminars, prospect visits and networking events, etc.</li> <li>Build and maintain effective internal partner relationships at SECU to actively identify referral opportunities and facilitate the acquisition and expansion of new member relationships.</li> <li>Maintain regular presence with University Partners, retail team and LOB partners to promote and execute SECU&rsquo;s acquisition strategy.</li> <li>Serve as liaison between retail teams, relevant LOB partners and the Business development team in the coordination and facilitation of financial wellness presentations and other Business development activities, virtually or in person.</li> <li>May key in new business or partner with respective front-line department to do so &ndash; ensuring connection between LOB and member.</li> <li>Support Business development, retail and LOB teams with education, training and coaching around all facets of SECU&rsquo;s University strategy.</li> <li>Identify and secure resources needed to effectively execute sales activities.</li> <li>Develop and maintain effective working relationships with University Partners and internal partners to include retail team, business development, marketing and others LOB.</li> <li>Ensure an exceptional member experience at onsite visits and events to drive desired membership acquisition goals via the facilitation of Financial wellness workshops and acquisition strategies in person or virtually.</li> <li>Actively identify and provide problem resolution for all member problems to ensure member satisfaction and retention.</li> <li>Develop innovative strategies to retain relationships; conduct regular relationship management touch points to obtain feedback to incorporate into relationship growth goals.</li> <li>Ensure adherence to SECU&rsquo;s sales and service engagement behaviors through modeling and ensuring fellow employees are performing expected engagement behaviors/activities at all times.</li> <li>Ensure members are educated on all applicable products, services and channels of delivery to expand relationships via cross-sell activities.</li> <li>Serve as a subject matter expert for all products and services, financial transactions, operating policies and procedures, and Patriot Act and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) rules and conditions.</li> <li>Full understanding of how to educate members and prospects on alternate delivery channel options, self-serve options and be familiar with omni-channel strategy.</li> <li>Other duties are required.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <br /> <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree and/or commensurate experience.</li> <li>3-5 years experience in a sales related role within banking/financial services.</li> <li>Outbound business development and sales experience, preferably in the financial services industry. Established book of business and/or robust network of COIs is preferred.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Thorough understanding of SECU&rsquo;s value proposition, SECU&rsquo;s Financial wellness program and the SECU&rsquo;s people, products, and services.</li> <li>Experience with effective and impactful sales interviewing and negotiation techniques to align with member needs.</li> <li>Knowledge of sales processes, tools, and techniques; ability to prepare and present formal recommendations for how SECU can win new memberships and deposit.</li> <li>Demonstrates a business acumen, and understanding of the Maryland market and how SECU can add value.</li> <li>Ability to prioritize, manage multiple objectives, projects, and relationships.</li> <li>Ability to travel.</li> <li>Ability to work nights and weekends as needed.</li> <li>Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) for the negotiation of loan applications secured by real property.</li> <li>Strong social media presence with reputable professional branding.</li> <li>Effective communication skills to interact with diverse groups of people, both verbal and in writing.</li> <li>Proficiency in MS Office and other business-oriented software applications.</li> </ul> <br /><br /> <p><strong>What You&rsquo;ll Get:<br /><br /></strong></p> <p>Join Team SECU and become relevant and significant, day in and out, in the lives of our members, employees and the communities we serve in a highly ethical and fiscally responsible manner.</p> <p><strong>SECU is Maryland's largest Credit Union and our guiding principles define our culture.
