In this role, you would be responsible for driving business development activities with existing and potentially new partnerships (University and non-University partners). Provide strategic insight and guidance that will grow our consumer membership base, deposits and loan portfolios, and revenue to meet established partnership goals. Provide the highest level of service while developing and expanding relationships. Primary initial responsibility will be to cultivate and manage the University of Maryland Athletics partnership to make SECU more well known, valued, and utilized, thus growing member acquisition. Collaboratively partner with internal teams to provide support to the University of Maryland Athletics team for member acquisition growth with students, faculty, staff, alumni, and athletic game attendees.</p> </div> </div> </div>
Responsibilities: <br /> <ul> <li>Plan, manage, and achieve approved performance metrics that include sales, revenue, and profitability objectives.</li> <li>Actively promote SECU by delivering unrivalled value of products and services that would benefit the University partnership.</li> <li>Interface with leadership levels of current and prospective organizations to position SECU and the credit union difference to secure mutually beneficial partnerships.</li> <li>Manage all Key Stakeholder relationships on campus, by phone or virtually with proven success in identifying opportunities to promote SECU&rsquo;s products and services.</li> <li>Collaborate with the various lines of internal business partners to secure access to targeted businesses to ensure desired business results. (Marketing, Retail team, and Business Intelligence).</li> <li>Engage in market research and stay ahead of technological needs to identify new opportunities within the University system.</li> <li>Establish the strategic framework for successful execution to acquire memberships within the University system.</li> <li>Ensure an exceptional member experience at onsite visits and events to drive desired membership acquisition goals by providing financial solutions, without pushing products.</li> <li>Support affiliation including retention of existing members and Director relationships on campus.</li> <li>Actively identify and provide problem resolution for all member problems to ensure member satisfaction and retention.</li> <li>Develop innovative strategies to retain relationships; conduct regular relationship management touch points to obtain feedback to incorporate into relationship growth goals.</li> <li>Ensure adherence to SECU&rsquo;s sales and service engagement behaviors through modeling on campus and facilitating key wellness presentations to staff, donors, and students.</li> <li>Ensure members are educated on all applicable products, services, and channels of delivery to expand relationships via cross-sell activities.</li> <li>Other duties as assigned.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <br /> <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Business, Sales, Management, Marketing or related field with equivalent experience.</li> <li>Minimum of 4-5 years of progressive sales and/or marketing experience.</li> <li>Outbound business development and sales experience, preferably in the financial services industry.</li> <li>Established book of business and/or robust network of COIs is preferred.</li> <li>Experience in sales and business management strategies and planning.</li> <li>Strong leadership skills and traits.</li> <li>Knowledge of sales processes, tools, and techniques; ability to prepare and present formal recommendations for how SECU can meet acquisition goals.</li> <li>Ability to prioritize, manage multiple objectives, projects, and relationships.</li> <li>Ability to travel.</li> <li>Ability to work nights and weekends as needed.</li> </ul> <br /><br /><br />
