Responsibilities: <ul> <li>This position is responsible for identifying and implementing business activities to acquire new business loans and accounts while retaining and maintaining existing business relationships.</li> <li>This position is also responsible for increasing commercial services memberships, checking, deposits and electronic business services as well as providing commercial loan referrals and supporting our business partners.</li> <li>Will be responsible for identifying training needs in their respective branches and provide assistance to partners within SECU to deepen existing and broaden new relationships.&nbsp;</li> <li>The incumbent will be responsible for tracking their individual business results and referrals (new business account acquisition/penetration and retention) as a result of sales strategies.</li> <li>Will participate in various community activities to bring awareness of our commercial services to local business Chamber functions, Open Houses, etc. in the community, and business networking activities.</li> <li>The incumbent will take ownership for their areas of responsibilities by handling potential business member complaints/issues and contribute to the strategic marketing planning and success of the department.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Minimum of A. A. degree. Courses in Business, Marketing, Communications, related sales coursework a plus.</li> <li>3 &ndash; 5 years Consultative sales experience in a financial or banking industry role, with a proven record of accomplishment building customer loyalty and expanding financial literacy and well-being.&nbsp;</li> <li>Business and Consumer financial services background preferred, with emphasis on Business to Business sales.</li> <li>Experience working in a member development/sales/customer service capacity.</li> <li>Experience and understanding in attending after hour/networking events to generate a positive brand for SECU.</li> <li>Strong sales and interpersonal skills, demonstrate positive attitude, professional appearance.</li> <li>Proficient with MS Office &ndash; Word, Excel and PowerPoint; and sales tracking (Salesforce a plus) and database management software.</li> <li>Superb communication skills &ndash; both verbal and written to prepare and deliver presentations.</li> <li>Excellent organizational skills; the ability to work independently and problem solve, multi-task, work under pressure and support and achieve specific corporate goals.</li> <li>Ability to build rapport with individuals and to negotiate.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to goal attainment through strong familiarity of retail banking products and services.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>What You&rsquo;ll Get:</strong></p> <p>Join Team SECU and become relevant and significant, day in and out, in the lives of our members, employees and the communities we serve in a highly ethical and fiscally responsible manner.</p> <p><strong>SECU is Maryland's largest Credit Union and our guiding principles define our culture.
