Overview: <br />The Field Service Director (FSD) activates the comprehensive strategy and initiatives with SHRM State Councils and SHRM Chapters to achieve SHRM&rsquo;s objectives and goals. The FSD role is to increase satisfaction, communication, engagement, and collaboration that leads to shared business goals in driving membership retention and acquisition, and for sales of metered products and services, and promoting SHRM&rsquo;s strategic initiatives. This position serves as the senior account and relationship manager for SHRM Chapter and State Council distribution channel, providing a single point of contact and plays a critical, strategic role in building relationships inside SHRM and with affiliates in driving SHRM goals and objectives. This role includes extensive sales and relationship account management, customer service, business operations, consulting, and public speaking.&nbsp;<br /><br />&nbsp;<br /><br /> <div><strong><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Work Environment:<br /><br /></span></strong><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Work is regularly performed in a combination of home office and conference settings, and routinely uses standard office equipment. It may require the maintenance of a home office and proximity to an airport for work-related travel.&nbsp;</span><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Travel Required: 50% or more. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the western region of the United States, so, therefore, must be located in this region.</span></div>
Responsibilities: <br /> <ul> <li><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Responsible for engagement of all SHRM State Councils, Chapters, and Student Chapters, members (in-chapter and member at large) within their assigned, specific geographic region.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Manages the relationships with SHRM State Councils, Chapters, and Student Chapters and coordinates all SHRM stakeholder input in securing SHRM business objectives with the affiliates. This includes member acquisition and retention, member engagement, metered product and certification penetration, and sales.&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Plans, and executes strategy to achieve the business, operational and financial results for SHRM&rsquo;s State Councils and Chapters within their assigned, specific geographic region. FSD partners with key SHRM resources to develop the tools and resources that meet the business objectives of SHRM and the SHRM affiliate.&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Manages the relationship and account with SHRM State Councils and Chapters and Student Chapters within their assigned, specific geographic region. Coordinates SHRM input in securing SHRM business objectives.&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Creates and executes an account and relationship plan for each individual key affiliate to meet SHRM and the affiliate's mutual business objectives. Responsibilities include compiling data and key financial information; developing proposed SHRM partnership offerings; ensuring affiliation governance requirements and achieving financial, membership, and programmatic key performance indicators for SHRM business objectives.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Manages financial and coordinates staff resources to meets the goals and objectives of SHRM with our key affiliates executing on SHRM&rsquo;s engagement strategy.&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Manages the sponsorships and booth branding and presence at SHRM State Councils and Chapter conferences, education programs, and meetings in support of SHRM&rsquo;s strategic objectives with these affiliates.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Provide strategic guidance, coaching, and education support to develop volunteer leadership within SHRM State Council and Chapters and ensure alignment of affiliate with SHRM strategy and objectives.&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Oversees affiliation and governance requirements and compliance for Affiliates.&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Manages the day-to-day requests and coordination of the assigned Affiliates.&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Provides presentations on SHRM and workplace Topics at conferences and other settings in support of SHRM objectives.&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Performs other duties and projects as assigned.</span></li> </ul>
Requirements: <br /> <div> <ul> <li><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Bachelor&rsquo;s degree from a four-year accredited college or university; or equivalent relevant years of experience&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">5-7 years of professional experience in human resources, human resources service provider, or HR-related work experience with a proven track record of leading others without a reporting relationship.&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Proven results in successfully engaging volunteers, members, or other stakeholders in support of an organizational strategic and operational plan. Sensitivity to and awareness of volunteer needs is essential.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Proficient understanding and use of performance metrics and data analytics, including ability to determine and secure opportunities for membership renewal and acquisition, growth in SHRM metered products, and strategic business objectives with SHRM affiliates in geographic areas of responsibility.&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Excellent member and customer service focus with the ability to influence and/or persuade stakeholders. Must be diplomatic, team-oriented, and sensitive to the needs of members and staff to work across a large organization, secure resources, build relationships and identify opportunities is essential</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, including experience in giving public presentations, speaking activities, and use of social media.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Creative approaches to problem-solving are required.
