Overview: <br />The SHRM Editor-Diversity, Equity &amp; Inclusion (DE&amp;I) provides high-value resources to SHRM members by finding, reporting, writing, editing, curating, and packaging online news, content, and e-newsletters focused on the wide range of issues and activities related to DE&amp;I in the workplace.<br /><br /> <p><strong><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Work Environment:<br /><br /></span></strong>Work is regularly performed in a combination of office and conference settings and routinely uses standard office equipment. Travel Required: Moderate 20-30%.</p>
Responsibilities: <br /> <ul> <li><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Write and edit high-quality, well-informed articles about DE&amp;I for an audience of current and prospective SHRM members.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Commission and edit content from freelance writers, as well as manage a freelance budget.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Edit daily news articles for style and content.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Curate e-newsletter for areas of expertise and/or responsibility.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Post content online and update/maintain landing pages, resource pages, and other digital collections with articles that are relevant to our audience and representing SHRM&rsquo;s responsibility towards our members and employers.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Stay up-to-date with all DE&amp;I news and trends. Report on developments, find experts, and create content that helps readers understand the importance of workplace DE&amp;I policies, practices, and initiatives (by SHRM and other organizations), and use case studies to illustrate those efforts.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Collaborate across SHRM departments and business units to support SHRM marketing, communications, and strategic initiatives, and business objectives.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Travel to SHRM conferences to provide news coverage for attendees and subscribers.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Cover other events and conferences within discipline areas.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Cover events, develop and edit content in emerging topics that may go beyond current scope, and are relevant to the evolution of our function.</span></li> </ul>
