Business Development & Support Functions

Overview: The Lead, Mail Center ensures the proper function and operation of the mailroom. The primary responsibilities of the Mail Center Lead include mail processing, delivery, and record keeping work in the operation of the mailroom. This role also assists the department by performing light maintenance duties and Room Reservation support. <br /><br /><br />
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Responsible for Mail Center daily work operations, assist organization staff with mailing, shipping, storage and other mailing projects.</li> <li>Receive, sort and distribute incoming mail, Fed Ex and UPS deliveries.</li> <li>Assist in coding of UPS and FedEx invoices.</li> <li>Coordinate various mailing projects and Magazine fulfillment requests from organization staff.</li> <li>Coordinate maintenance and calibration of various mail equipment.</li> <li>Ensure mail accounts are funded.</li> <li>Prepare monthly Postage usage reports and submits to Accounting. Coordinate requests for moving and retrieval of files from on-site storage.</li> <li>Perform minor maintenance and repairs in mailroom.</li> <li>Assist with Room Reservation Requests and room configuration.</li> <li>Assist with moves, adds and changes.</li> <li>Assist in updating floor plans and employee directory.</li> <li>Other duties and projects as assigned.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>High School diploma or equivalent relevant experience.</li> <li>4 years progressive experience in Commercial Mail Center</li> <li>Excellent written and oral communication skills.</li> <li>Strong attention to details.</li> <li>Basic computer skills.</li> <li>Proven customer service skills.</li> <li>Strong organizational skills.</li> Candidates must have a proven commitment to SHRM's six Guiding Principles:Bold PurposeExcellence &amp; Accountability Flexibility &amp; Agility Smart &amp; Curious Collaborative OpennessPush Back to Move Forward</ul> Let Us Know if You Have: <ul> <li>7 years of progressive experience working in Facility Services and Mail Center.</li> </ul> Certifications<br /> <ul> <li>Mail Manager Professional Certification preferred.</li> </ul> Physical Requirements<br /> <ul> <li>Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodations.</li> <li>Work is generally done sitting, talking, hearing, and typing. Visual acuity to use a keyboard, prepare and analyze data and figures; transcribing, viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.</li> </ul> Work Environment<br /> <ul> <li>Work is regularly performed in a combination of office and conference settings and routinely uses standard office equipment.</li> <li>Travel Required: Occasional 0-10%</li> </ul>
