Overview: <br />The Manager, Multimedia Production serves as SHRM&rsquo;s enterprise-wide multimedia strategist leading the execution and delivery of video communications, as well as creating the company&rsquo;s digital media infrastructure &ndash; including original content creation and distribution, live-stream capabilities, and internal/external event support. This position helps define and execute SHRM&rsquo;s video offerings by creating compelling content that serves and engages the SHRM community, meets the needs of the organization, and positions SHRM as a thought leader. This role applies creative and technical expertise, and works closely across all stakeholder functions: editorial, communications, marketing, membership, knowledge centers, and professional development.<br /><br /> <div><strong><br />Work Environment:<br /><br /></strong>Work is regularly performed in a combination of office and conference settings and routinely uses standard office equipment. Travel Required: Moderate 20-30%.</div>
Responsibilities: <br /> <ul> <li>Leads the creation and development of a long-term strategic vision for SHRM&rsquo;s Multimedia Production capabilities.</li> <li>Manages and establishes production guidelines/workflows with the goal of growing audience engagement and response. Develops and shares video best practices across the organization.</li> <li>Monitors and measures the impact of SHRM&rsquo;s video content and its business impact in collaboration with departmental marketing and social communications, business intelligence, and other key stakeholders.</li> <li>Builds and manages SHRM live streaming capability, including web and app-based systems, streaming encoders, and transmission equipment as directed by SHRM leadership.</li> <li>Designs and produces digital signage and other on-screen content for office and conference/event displays.</li> <li>Supports SHRM conference/event production. Identifies opportunities and supports the development of interactive and virtual conference experiences.</li> <li>Responsible for developing creatives and storyboards that are brand-focused, audience-centric, and effective for stakeholders.</li> <li>Manages and directs studio and field productions.&nbsp;</li> <li>Creates and maintains production budgets.</li> <li>Facilitates/conducts the training of full-time staff and contract technical personnel. Identifies and manages vendor/video production agency relationships and manages quality and service levels.</li> <li>Acts as a lead creative resource for video needs across SHRM&rsquo;s content, revenue, and product areas, advising on approach, storyboard, budget, and timelines.</li> <li>Provides recommendations to senior management on video resourcing and technology.</li> <li>Ensures on-time, on-budget, and on-brand content creation.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <br /> <div> <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in graphic design, marketing, or a related field; or equivalent relevant experience</li> <li>At least eight (8) years of progressive digital production experience, including strategy and execution.</li> <li>Demonstrated experience executing video projects of all sizes from concept to completion.</li> <li>Experience with studio set-up and video branding efforts.</li> <li>Mastery of Final Cut and/or Adobe Premiere and After Effects; comfort with Adobe Creative Suite</li> <li>Experience using a range of digital content management systems and video platforms</li> <li>Deep familiarity with digital and video industry trends, technologies, and vendors</li> <li>Creative, design-thinker with excellent interpersonal skills</li> <li>Entrepreneurial and self-motivated</li> <li>Enthusiasm for workplace issues and for the SHRM member and mission</li> <li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects at once and deftly communicating and escalating issues as needed</li> <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of project management software/tools</li> <li>Ability to set and maintain video project budgets</li> <li>Candidates must have a proven commitment to SHRM's six Guiding Principles:</li> <ul> <li>Bold Purpose</li> <li>Excellence &amp; Accountability</li> <li>Flexibility &amp; Agility</li> <li>Smart &amp; Curious</li> <li>Collaborative Openness</li> <li>Push Back to Move Forward</li> </ul> </ul> </div> <div><strong><br />Physical Requirements:<br /><br /></strong></div> <div> <ul> <li>Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodations.</li> <li>Work is generally done sitting, talking, hearing, and typing.
