Overview: <br />Responsible for supporting various aspects of the exhibits and sponsorship programs at SHRM events. These events bring the SHRM brand to life and provide a platform for member engagement with vendors &ndash; exhibitors and sponsors. Primary responsibility is managing all aspects of the exhibitor confirmation process for the Annual Conference &amp; Exposition. Maintain an open line of communication with exhibitor and sponsor contacts. Deliver exceptional customer care and execute well-produced logistics and operations. Achieve and exceed individual sales goals of assigned events.<br /><br /> <p><strong><span style="font-size: medium;">Work Environment:<br /><br /></span></strong>Work is regularly performed in a combination of office and conference settings and routinely uses standard office equipment. Travel Required: Moderate 20-30%.</p>
Responsibilities: <br /> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: medium;">Support the Exhibits &amp; Sponsorships Team with sales for both exhibit space and sponsorships for SHRM virtual and in-person events throughout the year.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: medium;">Achieve assigned individual revenue and net square footage goals.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: medium;">Support the Director of Exhibits &amp; Sponsorships in executing sales strategies and putting together a reference document with activities and timeline.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: medium;">Manage all aspects of the exhibitor confirmation and invoicing process for all SHRM events.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: medium;">Maintain clear, up-to-date records, including notes and activities in CRM system on all companies within assigned events.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: medium;">Work with the Exhibits &amp; Sponsorship Team for prospecting and qualifying leads; enter leads into a database.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: medium;">Develops the Exhibitor Service Kit for each event, including the deadlines and vendor orders for booth structures, carpeting, floral, catering, computers, TVs, etc.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: medium;">Participate in all pre and post-show preparation calls, floor plan configuration calls, collection calls, and provide operations/logistical assistance to ensure a premier customer service experience for all accounts in assigned events.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: medium;">Assist with registration, signage, and other event logistics.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: medium;">Work closely with other departments in developing and executing optimal customer experience, including having a full understanding of the theme, show-look, and delivering first-class customer service.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: medium;">Responsible for supporting logistics for sponsors and exhibitors on-site at SHRM events</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: medium;">Other duties as required by business needs.</span></li> </ul>
Requirements: <br /> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: medium;">High school diploma or equivalent</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: medium;">Minimum of four years of related experience with a high school diploma. At least one year of directly related experience in trade shows/expositions with a Bachelor&rsquo;s degree</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: medium;">Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Additional years of experience in trade shows/expositions</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: medium;">Experience with Map Your Show or basic floor cad systems</span></li> </ul> <p><strong><span style="font-size: medium;"><br />Physical Requirements:<br /><br /></span></strong></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: medium;">Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodations.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: medium;">Work is generally done sitting, talking, hearing, and typing. Visual acuity to use a keyboard, prepare and analyze data and figures; transcribing, viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.</span></li> </ul>
