Overview: <h4>The Strategic Initiatives Project Manager will oversee initiatives and projects led through the Office of Strategy &amp; Innovation providing support and leadership for organizational projects. The role of a Strategic Initiative Project Manager is crucial in ensuring that the organization's strategic goals are met through the successful execution of strategic projects. This position requires a deep understanding of technology, strong project management skills, and effective communication and leadership abilities to drive strategic initiatives to successful outcomes.<br /><br /></h4> <p><strong>Work Environment:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Work is regularly performed in a combination of office, home office and conference settings; routinely uses standard office equipment.</li> <li>Expected travel is 0-10% of the time.</li> </ul>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Project Management: <ul> <li>Lead cross-functional project teams, including IT professionals, business analysts, and other stakeholders, to ensure the successful execution of strategic initiatives.</li> <li>Create and manage project plans, budgets, and schedules, monitoring progress and making adjustments as necessary to meet project objectives.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Risk Management: <ul> <li>Identify potential risks and issues associated with each project and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on project delivery.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Stakeholder Communication: <ul> <li>Maintain open and transparent communication with all project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and key milestones.</li> <li>Foster strong relationships with internal and external partners, ensuring alignment with project goals.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Quality Assurance: <ul> <li>Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure that project deliverables meet or exceed the organization's standards and expectations.</li> <li>Conduct post-project evaluations to assess the success and impact of completed initiatives.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Change Management: <ul> <li>Develop and implement change management strategies to facilitate the adoption of new technologies or processes resulting from projects.</li> <li>Provide guidance and support to stakeholders during the transition phase.</li> </ul> </li> </ul>
Requirements: <h4><strong>Education &amp; Experience Requirements:</strong></h4> <ul type="disc"> <li>Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in IT, computer science, or a related field.</li> <li>Proven experience in project management, particularly in managing complex IT projects.</li> </ul> <br /> <h4><strong>Certifications:</strong></h4> <ul type="disc"> <li>Project management certification (e.g., PMP) or similar certification is preferred, but not required.</li> </ul> <br /> <h4><strong>Knowledge, Skills &amp; Abilities:</strong></h4> <ul type="disc"> <li>Strong understanding of IT technologies and systems.</li> <li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</li> <li>Ability to think strategically and align IT initiatives with organizational goals.</li> <li>Proficiency in project management tools and software.</li> <li>Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.</li> <li>Leadership and team management skills.</li> <li>Proficient in producing and analyzing reports and metrics.</li> <li>Excellent oral and written communication skills.</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodations.</li> <li>Work is generally done sitting, talking, hearing, and typing.
