Internship

Starting at $20.00/Hour

Overview: <p>SHRM&rsquo;s paid internship program enables students to participate in valuable real-world work experience through a variety of tailored assignments within their areas of interest and fields of study. Students will be tasked with different team-specific projects, and tasks, and participate in professional development projects and events to prepare them for their future careers.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>This is a paid internship starting at $20.00/Hour.<br /><br />This is a 10-week, summer internship from June 6, 2024 - August 4, 2024.&nbsp;<br /><br /></p> <p><strong>Work Environment:</strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li>SHRM does operate under a hybrid work schedule and will require you to be in SHRM&rsquo;s headquarters in Alexandria, VA on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. On Mondays and Fridays will be working remotely.</li> <li>Work is regularly performed in a combination of office and conference settings and routinely uses standard office equipment.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Marketing Internship Categories</strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Social Media</li> <li>Omnichannel Outreach and Org</li> <li>Demand Generation &amp; Growth Marketing</li> <li>Paid Media</li> </ul>
Responsibilities: <ul type="disc"> <li>Project manage digital and print projects to ensure materials are delivered in a timely fashion.</li> <li>Assist in ensuring that projects and materials remain within budget.</li> <li>Assist in facilitating all production works project an image reflective of SHRM&rsquo;s guiding principles and brand guidelines.</li> <li>Suggest and create content for different projects and initiatives.</li> <li>Create processes to organize content available to marketing audience segments to use within the collateral.</li> <li>Carry out division-specific tasks/activities as assigned by the supervisor throughout the internship.</li> <li>Manage deliverables and provide regular updates.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>Education &amp; Experience Requirements:<br /><br /></strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Field of study: pursuing a Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in marketing, communications, digital media, or other related fields.</li> <li>0-3 years of relevant work experience.</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>Knowledge, Skills &amp; Abilities:<br /><br /></strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Strong communication and analytical skills.</li> <li>High levels of commitment and initiative.</li> <li>Ability to navigate or willingness to learn technology and software.</li> <li>Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments at a given time.</li> <li>Possess creative thinking and problem-solving skills while implementing direction and feedback.</li> <li>Thrives in an entrepreneurial environment.</li> <li>Ability to successfully work in a team.</li> <li>Ability and willingness to follow directions.</li> <li>Professional demeanor.</li> <li>Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment.</li> <li>Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Outlook.</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>Physical Requirements:<br /><br /></strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodations.</li> <li>Work is generally done sitting, talking, hearing, and typing.
