Through programs like the WorkplaceTech Accelerator, SHRM Labs empowers HR leaders and organizations by providing access to cutting-edge solutions and resources to shape the future of work.<br /><br />The Workplace Innovation Specialist will play a critical role in supporting the execution and growth of SHRM Labs&rsquo; WorkplaceTech Accelerator (WTA). This role involves managing day-to-day program operations, supporting participating startups, and ensuring seamless delivery of programming and resources. Responsibilities: <ul> <li><strong>Program Coordination:</strong>&nbsp;Oversee daily operations of the WorkplaceTech Accelerator, including scheduling, logistics, and communication with cohort companies, mentors, and internal/external stakeholders.</li> <li><strong>Startup Support:</strong>&nbsp;Serve as the primary point of contact for accelerator participants, providing resources, addressing inquiries, and coordinating mentorship opportunities.</li> <li><strong>Event Management:</strong>&nbsp;Plan and execute program events, including workshops, webinars, pitch events, receptions and demo day.</li> <li><strong>Data Management:</strong>&nbsp;Maintain accurate records of participant progress, program metrics, and stakeholder engagement using SHRM Labs&rsquo; proprietary data systems.</li> <li><strong>Stakeholder Engagement:</strong>&nbsp;Collaborate with internal teams and external partners, including mentors, sponsors, and SHRM members, to deliver a high-impact experience for program participants.</li> <li><strong>Marketing and Communication Support:</strong>&nbsp;Assist in creating program-related content, including newsletters, promotional materials, and updates for social media and SHRM Labs&rsquo; website.</li> <li><strong>Reporting:</strong>&nbsp;Track and report program performance and outcomes, identifying areas for improvement and growth.</li> <li><strong>Cross-Program Support:</strong>&nbsp;Assist with other SHRM Labs programs ensuring alignment and providing logistical and operational support.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>Education:<br /></strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in project management, business, or equivalent relevant work experience/training.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Experience:<br /><br /></strong></p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>At least three (3) years of relevant work experience with at least one year of experience in program coordination, project management, or startup/accelerator programs.</li> <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills.</li> <li>Proficiency in project management and collaboration tools like Microsoft Office Suite, Notion, or similar platform.</li> <li>Experience building and managing partnerships with key stakeholders and managing and maintaining relationships.</li> <li>Interest in HR technology and workplace innovation.</li> </ul> <br /> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Familiarity or interest with HR technologies and future of work.</li> <li>Experience with financial modeling.</li> <li>Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements.</li> <li>Entrepreneurial spirit, and/or startup or accelerator experience.</li> <li>Knowledge about or exposure to venture capital.</li> <li>Ability to assess business potential of workplace tech startups.</li> </ul> <h1>&nbsp;</h1> <h4><br /><br /><strong>Knowledge, Skills &amp; Abilities:<br /><br /></strong></h4> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>Naturally inquisitive with a voracious appetite for learning and a boundless intellectual capacity for solving complicated problems.</li> <li>Knowledge of innovation strategy and technologies.</li> <li>Excellent oral communication, writing, and presentation skills.</li> <li>Familiarity in online marketing techniques, databases, and list management.</li> <li>Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.</li> <li>Strong analytical, problem-solving and leadership skills.</li> <li>Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.</li> </ul> <br /> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Familiarity with CRM tools like Airtable Salesforce, Tableau, etc., and design tools like Canva, and Adobe Creative Cloud.</li> </ul> <br /><br /> <p><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodations.</li> <li>Work is generally done sitting, talking, hearing, and typing. Visual acuity to use a keyboard, prepare and analyze data and figures; transcribing, viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.</li> <li>Light lifting is required.
