$88,000 to $112,000 per year

Overview: The Senior Researcher will generate actionable insights for CEOs, HR executives, HR professionals, enterprises and policymakers. The position is focused on researching all things work, worker and workplace and may include topics such as human resources, workplace economic impacts, inclusion and diversity, and related government policies.<br /><br /><strong>Work Environment:</strong><br /><br />Hybrid Position (3 Days In-Office, 2 Days Remote):<br /> <ul> <li>This position follows a hybrid work schedule, with Tuesday through Thursday in office and Monday and Friday remote. Employees must be available during standard business hours, with core hours beginning between 8:00AM &ndash; 9:00AM and concluding between 5:00PM &ndash; 6:00PM.</li> </ul> Travel: 0-10%
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Design and execute research studies from start to finish, including defining objectives, generating hypotheses, developing research plans, designing and programming surveys, analyzing results, summarizing findings, and creating final deliverables.</li> <li>Use industry best practices and familiarity with the organization's mission to inspire ideas and content.</li> <li>Communicate and collaborate internally and externally to support the goals of the thought leadership team, its partners, and the organization.</li> <li>Produce well-researched content in compelling and creative ways for print and online publications and presentations.</li> <li>Coach and mentor junior staff.</li> <li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <strong>Education:<br /></strong><br /> Required:<br /> <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in business, economics, political science, psychology or other social science field; or equivalent relevant experience required.</li> <li>Master&rsquo;s in business, economics, political science, psychology or other social science field preferred.</li> </ul> <br /> Experience:<br /> <ul> <li>5+ years of professional experience in survey research, project management, and data analysis.</li> <li>Experience leading projects with junior staff.</li> </ul> <br />Knowledge, Skills &amp; Abilities <ul> <li>Ability to effectively leverage artificial intelligence (AI) tools and technologies to streamline workflows, enhance productivity, and improve overall work quality.</li> <li>Proficiency with statistical software package (e.g., SPSS, R) including cross tabs, frequencies, correlations, and regressions.</li> <li>Proficiency with programming on survey design platforms (e.g., Survey Monkey, Qualtrics, etc.).</li> <li>Basic understanding of how to use generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, etc.).</li> <li>Ability to consolidate data findings into concise, actionable, and easy-to-understand charts and/or presentations.</li> <li>Ability to work independently.</li> <li>Ability to work on multiple projects with different objectives simultaneously.</li> <li>Proven time management skills, including prioritizing, scheduling, and adapting as necessary.</li> <li>Strong oral and written communication skills.</li> </ul> <br /><br /><strong> Physical Requirements:</strong><br /><br /> This position operates in a typical office environment and requires the ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. This range is an estimate and the actual salary may vary based on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. SHRM offers a competitive and comprehensive total rewards package.
