Salary

$65,000 to $75,000 per year plus commission

Overview: <p>The Strategic Business Development Executive is responsible for driving demand, interest, and new partnerships for SHRM&rsquo;s portfolio of products/solutions. As a Strategic Business Development Executive, you will be the first point of contact with potential customers, informing them about SHRM&rsquo;s Enterprise offerings along with working closely with the Enterprise Executives to pursue opportunities, recommend appropriate follow-up, and schedule qualified meetings. This highly motivated individual will generate new business opportunities through multi-channel prospecting strategies, efficiently respond and qualify inbound leads, work full cycle deals, and qualify strategic sales opportunities for Directors of Corporate Partnerships.</p> <p>Successful candidates will be passionate, entrepreneurial sales professionals who are highly motivated, work well in fast-paced startup environments, and who demonstrate great critical and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate should have an accomplished background in prospecting into C-level positions across the Mid-Market to Enterprise space and be interested in working for mission-driven organization that creates better workplaces where employers and employees thrive together.</p> <p><strong>Work Environment:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Work is regularly performed in a combination of office and conference settings and routinely uses standard office equipment.</li> </ul>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Efficiently respond and qualify inbound marketing leads.</li> <li>Complete high volume prospecting activities to fuel sales pipeline.</li> <li>Generate new business opportunities through multi-channel prospecting.</li> <li>Full sales cycle responsibilities for organizations &lt;1,000 employees.</li> <li>Conduct high level conversations with Senior HR Executives within target accounts, qualify and schedule meetings for Directors of Corporate Partnerships.</li> <li>Identify and build key relationships with C-level HR executives and department heads to create synergies between the corporations and SHRM business, understanding client's critical priorities, gaps to be addressed and help execute through our suite of programs and services.</li> <li>Research target clients, staying informed on industry trends and providing HR insight to create new opportunities and relationships.</li> <li>Execute on sales targets, hitting (and exceeding) revenue/growth goals and other key performance metrics for Enterprise sales qualified leads per month.</li> <li>Maintain and use in-depth knowledge of SHRM&rsquo;s data, research, industry trends and data-driven insights to consult and engage prospective customers.</li> <li>Manage, track and report sales activities and pipeline through Salesforce.</li> <li>Develop strong, collaborative, relationships with internal sales teams to close account opportunities.</li> <li>Collaborate with sales team to share best practices and make recommendations to generate new business opportunities more effectively and close more sales.</li> <li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Successful track record of lead generation, prospecting, pipeline management and closing customers.</li> <li>Must have worked in a business development role with inbound and outbound sales responsibilities, consistently exceeded sales quotas.</li> <li>Experience working in complex, mid-market and/or enterprise space.</li> <li>A record of past achievement, including demonstrated ability to generate leads, opportunities, and close full sales cycles with C-level decision-makers.</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>Education:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree or High School diploma with extended relevant experience required. 3+ years of professional experience in business-to-business sales development, preferably HCM, HR Consulting, HR SAAS, L&amp;D space.</li> </ul> <br /> <h4><strong>Knowledge, Skills &amp; Abilities</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Highly motivated, purpose driven and self-starting individual.</li> <li>Excellent communication and presentation skills.</li> <li>Ability to listen well, understand and recommend solutions to address customer needs through exceptional problem-solving skills.</li> <li>Incredibly organized and attention to detail.</li> <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li> <li>Entrepreneurial drive and comfort working in ambiguous, quickly changing environment.</li> <li>Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.</li> <li>Ability to travel to conferences, client meetings, competitive conferences.</li> </ul> <h1>&nbsp;</h1> <p><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodations.</li> <li>Work is generally done sitting, talking, hearing, and typing. OTE for this role is $125-130K a </span>year. This range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications.
